milos is the man. he's doing the right thing. everyone can CLEARLY see that the nba isn't ready for him. he's giving us all a couple more years to catch up. we should be ready for him...when he's 30. what a joke.

honestly... why should milos come to the NBA? he'd have to play more games against tougher comp, get paid less, and live a worse lifestyle than the european (italian) superstar lifestyle, and play much much less. would you give up superstardom in europe and bigger contracts in europe to be a minimum wage NBA rookie trying to make it in the league? he's making million of dollars now in europe... it would not be the same in the NBA probably, definitely less prestige for him.

I am in agreement here. I don't know why there is so much flack over Milos NOT coming to the NBA.

Should we be OK with Europeans sending hateful messages to Fredy Adu (a little of a stretch point) for not playing soccer in football's Mecca? No.

Milos has made personal decision and just because he chooses to stick to his guns and not play in the top league in the world does not mean we should hate him.

thank goodness lampe and milos were traded... who knows when those guys will be players... plus we dumped dice and eisley on them, and ward, all players that had no future here. if we could have only gotten rid of shandon, seriously.

true, he has his reasons for his choice but if it's about playing basketball at the highest level against the best players in the world, then he's taking the easy way out.

Milos had a very good year at the elite level of play in europe. His team went to the championship game and he elevated his game.

His stats show more of a shooting guard than the point, and he is undersized at the 2 in the NBA.

He is no Fred Weis, and he is making over 2million with huge tax benefits.

The sour grapes here is silly and sophmoric. Now we know why he was a second round pick and was a throw in for Marbury.

Comments on lampe are just plain silly.

Meanwhile, we have not really accomplished all that much either in the short run either. Time will tell the truth eventually.

first of all, when he signed with skipper, he said he'd stay there two years. he knew he needed to work on his game, so why work on it here from the bench? and the fact that his stats look more like SG than PG is because 1) in europe they award assists differently than here, 2) he does what his team needs him to do - run the offense and score points - which is what star players do, carry their teams when the team needs that. secondly, $2 million USD in europe, living in europe probably goes farther than $4 million USD living in Phx/ America. It's Milos's choice to stay there... he's competing on an extremely high level, and he probably loves living in europe and probably doesnt want to rush to leave all of that behind to start over in a new country.

All of that being said, the suns probably wouldnt have much money to offer milos this year since they are under the cap, want to make a run at a max money player and since they are under the cap do NOT have the mid-level exception to give milos some of that. So milos is better playing out his contract in europe (1 more year), he's still young, and coming to the suns when they are willing to offer him a 3 year contract at 3+ mil per year probably.

Basketball is a business.

I don't know if that is reasonable. The Suns are not going to want to sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal. Most likely a 3 year so they can have his bird rights and RFA rights. And those 2 or 3 years are going to be at a price of not very much more than a unproven 2nd round pick. Maybe the Suns give in and give him a bit more money because of his Eupoean experience, but it is not going to be much over 1M a year. Thats has Milos losing $3M over then next 3 years at the very least.

Yeah, he could make it up with a big contract later on but its his risk to take.
