Wow, what a display of beautiful basketball! Best thing about it is the team is also playing excellent defense. Why can't the Knicks play like that?

They have a magician in the back field, wings that can shoot lights out, and a front court capable if making shots from all over the court. They resemble last year' Spurs.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Maybe Mark Jax was holding them back last year with is bullshyt act?

Looks like GS got a good leader and the roster is coming together.
They drafted Curry 4 years ago. It takes time.

Kerr got lucky getting these players but, yes, he's probably added a few wins so far this year. If Jax was still coaching, I don't think he'd be running a losing team. That said, even given player development and a fresh bench, GS is playing smarter ball and making better use of their resources. Having Gentry around probably helps.

I wouldn't say that Fisher has added any wins to the Knicks record this year but that doesn't mean that Fisher will not end up a solid coach. And if Kerr was coaching the Knicks and added a few wins, we'd be, what? 7 and 30 or so with these players. So far, coaching doesn't seem to be a problem with the Knicks.

The Lee injury was a blessing in disguise. It forced them to make adjustments to the roster they probably wouldn't have made. Thompson, Curry and Draymon Green have also improved their games on both sides of the ball. I'm not sure how they'll do when the game slows down in the playoffs, but you have to count them as a serious threat.

"Lee injury was a blessing in disguise"

Injuries are seldom a blessing but . . . in this case, I think you are right. It's hard to imagine Greene and Barnes playing with the same authority without the extra minutes they picked up from Lee being out. GS is still a better team at this point with Lee playing than not but next year is his last year under contract. He's probably tradable next year . . . what a luxury. With any luck, Lee will accept a smaller contract to be a bench player on a winning team for the last part of his career but if he goes for more money on a losing team, GS opens up a lot of cab space . . . which they will need, it's a win-win with Lee.

Yup.

Besides mark jackson was winning 50 games and finally got them playing defense. Kerr is the luckiest first year coach ever

I like the job Steve has done so far, but I also believe that Jackson would have had the same result if he were kept as coach. The roster is a year more mature.

Can someone change the title? It's K-E-R-R. If you're going to sing someone's praises at least learn how to spell his name.

Kerr took over a ready made team. It was a 50 win team to begin with.

Maybe, but he didn't. Management, aka: those inside the orgnaization thought otherwise.
evidence is on the court.

Not saying Jax is a bad coach. Doug Collins was a very good coach for Bulls and took them to conf. finals. Took them as far as he could. Then Phil took them to the promise land.
Roster is more mature, and maybe thats why MJax had to go. You do remember the bullshyt he caused right?

Kerr certainly got the role players/bench and development playing much better as well as the starters
As a role player himself, he certainly knows the importance of their roles and contributions to the team

Justin Holiday is one of the big suprises as well as Draymond Green
Harrison Barnes is playing much better recently as well

Livingston is a quality backup to go with Iggy, something Mark Jackson was unwilling to change the starting lineup with Lee/Iggy and Green

This is my point, you do not win a championship with 1-2 or 3 players

You win it with EVERYONE on the roster
They play great on DEFENSE and always look to pass it to the open man, aside from Curry who has the green light and could launch one anywhere at any time

Curry/Klay

Draymond Green/Harrison Barnes

Bogut

Lee/Iggy/Livingston

Justin Holiday/Festis Ezili

They are always looking to make plays for each other and sacrifice for the better of the team, especially Klay
CA will have to elevate his defense and provide leadership for us to have any chance of contending
