Think this kid is gonna be better than Westbrook.

Not sold on him that high. His J is suspect and his playmaking skilks need help.I think a year playing PG with Larry Brown would have helped. He's a still a lottery guy, but i think he needs more time to develop. Anyone know how he is doing in the Chinese League

There is an article on nbadraftnet about him. I think he got hurt and Will Bynum has taken over. His numbers were solid before he went out but I think Bynum has been better. Not sure that I am accurate on this but check nbadraftnet.

He looks like a cross between John wall, Tyreke evans and Gilbert arenas....

if he doesn't pan out he will be more like Shumpert...I doubt that though.

If we had to take him based on draft position i'd play him like a SG. I really have no issues with playing 2 PG's if your guards are not small it should work great and especially if one of them isn't really a ball dominant guard and can shoot. We can use a breakdown Guard on this team. I would still take Okafor at #1 overall but if we ended up with #2 or #3 i'd take Mudiay for his shot creating abilities. We just need to improve the talent period so if it's a guard or a big we need to get an impact player in this draft.

Yes, thats exactly what I read. I was initially high on him, but I've come down to earth. I think he's a boom or bust type of pick.....the big guys are safer picks. But if anybody can find a Kobe-like gem, it's Phill Jackson.....

Not number 1 (Okafor) but definite number 2, in my estimation.

Worst than Shump. Shump at least tries on defense. No way is this guy a top 3 pick.

He's growing on me. I don't know about Wall (I don't see the same elite level speed and ball-handling Wall has) but I definitely see some Tyreke Evans. Similar plus-size for a PG (granted Evans is even bigger...for now), similar speed/skill level, similar ability to finish at the rim with grace, same ability to pass the ball, even the similar suspect outside shooting. What I like is that his jumper looks a lot cleaner and may translate/improve even better over time than Evans'. He's gonna need a little time -- what is he, 18?!? He may not even be done growing yet (I think there's a chance he could eventually match Evans' size of 6'6") and I think it's safe to assume he will continue to improve upon what's an already very good-looking skill-set (I think his jumper will definitely get better--mechanics definitely look good enough. Wall wasn't some elite shooter when he entered the NBA; now he's deadly in the mid-range. I could see a similar level of improvement for Mudiay). I want Okafor but I'd be OK if we went with this guy 2-3. We really need to cement a top 3 pick. Unbelievably vital for us that that happens...Fingers crossed man.

He is going to take much work/time to develop and I am not high on his ceiling at all
Think he has a bigger chance to be a bust than a STAR

He looks a lot like Tyreke Evans. Now if you take Tyreke Evans and tweak his game--you couldve have a really good player. This guy wont be able to score from the perimeter right away and he does not have John Wall speed or athletic ability. He is 6-5 from the PG with skills good athletic ability and body control. The shtty part is we just cant see enough to make a game type decision on him. Now the Knicks will see him in protected environments that emphasize his best traits. The Knicks are desperate we need pick #1.

He could be a beast on defense. There is a ton of upside there if he embraces it

Mudiay is significantly quicker off the dribble than Evans. Jumping ability is about the same to marginally better. Overall, I don't the comparison accurately reflects his upside. I agree, however, that Okafor should be no. 1 by a margin.

The lack of playing and learning this year scares me- I don't think you can essentially not play basketball at such a pivotal developmental time for a year and not have it greatly hamper you going forward.

It should only temporarily sidetrack his development. Nothing permanent can happen. It's just a tough spot for a team to be in trying to take a chance on the kid. How high do you take him? There's so much risk involved the higher he's picked, which seems to me to make him a candidate to fall in the draft.

it will come down to the workouts. If he's willing to work out with other prospects and he's heads above then fine. Talent talks. If its one of these will only work out for 3 teams and in limited settings Ill pass...
