i have been critical of his game, and his ridiculous ball-hogging ways, but i can't deny his skill level. and here he is laying it all out in one article. by contrast it takes virtually 100 pages of rhoden to make the same fukkin point in his "40 million dollar slaves," and rhoden never once mentions the skill factor. kudos for bryant.

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/12114523/kobe-bryant-says-european-players-more-skilled-americans-blames-aau

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

college coaches are hiring aau coaches to get leads on players, not that its the only leverage being used to lure players to a school. hes right on the last part, the $ factor is gonna make changes slow or never happen unless the aau system kills itself.

At the end it is not about bbal game but about entertainment.
Its like celebs.. no need to be a good actor/actress just do some controversial stupid entertaining stuff or have a big a..sss and you are golden.
This is not only about bbal but about American mass culture in general.
No substance... just make this TV-watchers stone-cold happy.

Fans have become just as bad.....it's Definitely a society issue because you can see issues with almost everything we do nowadays.

Fans just want to see individual talent. They want to see coaches yelling at players to play harder. Nobody wants to really see team basketball.

Phil is trying to bring that back to new York and it's a idea that should be applauded. Instead everyone is so much against it and just want the Knicks to sign the best players with a hardcore coach that will curse them out till they win a championship.

Yep. Although I'm not too sure where you're getting the coach thing from, I'd much prefer that Phil sign a team full of hardworking guys who defend, move the ball, and leave it all on the floor instead of clinging to the pipe dream of signing Marc Gasol.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Personally, I don't know what Phil is trying to do, but this fan is not going to applaud an idea from a rookie general manager just because it sounds good.

What Phil actually did was resign Melo to a massive deal with a player option and no-trade clause, and hire a head coach who has never coached in a professional league before.

Good point and it's certainly not looking good now. Can't really say much more than that.

+1

A Defensive philosophy that says it's ok to give up 3's as long as you protect the paint and dont give up 2's.

Yeah. The best fake was Lawerence Frank but now that he is with the Clips that is done.
