Remember when Crawford was the Knicks SG? Ahhh Good times.

Hardaway is quickly becoming a bust...he needs to step it up!

Remember when Crawford was the Knicks SG and everyone blasted him all the time for chucking and bad defence, and now he's not a knick the same people praise him? Really unusual- Knicks fans never do that!

all nba teams have talent to an extent. why can some teams overachieve while some teams underachieve?

looks at the bucks - are they super talented? nope. but jason kidd (despite being a grade A douche) has them overachieving - even after losing jabari. this is why phil's first year has been nothing short of a failure. there is no team identity...and everyone's value is worse now than it was 6 months ago.

they are trying to fit a square peg in a triangular hole. it just will not work. this season is basically the larry brown season all over again - coach handcuffed by the gm and the only difference is that the coach is not intentionally sabotaging it...he's just really bad...

your team should be running pick and roll all day with jose.

UHHHHHH NO!!! This is the way the team is going to play when they rebuild with players who can actually excel in the system. Phil is the GM and he will bring in players that can actually excel playing team ball. He gave it a try with this interim roster to see how these players responded. Some have and others haven't and now Phil can better judge what was already here. Not that it changes the fact that he was going to make major changes. He was going to do that regardless. This was the only way to expose the depth of the problems here. I totally agree with this process.

We already know they can win some games playing dumb basketball. That's not the goal. The goal is to one day play for a title and the style of play they had before wasn't going to get it done.

i would agree if 90% of the roster wasn't getting booted this summer.

It's still for the guys who will be staying and the kids we're developing in D League who are playing the same system. Gotta think of the guys who are staying and the coach and can't be worried about guys that won't be here. In my estimation I think we'll be bringing in 4-5 new players and some of the cheap young role players will be brought back.

Lets be serious here. Phil did not plan to tank. He thought he built a team good enough to make the playoffs and some of you drank that juice. Nothing has changed on that front except now he KNOWS this team is not good....the entire team. There honestly isnt a player worth holding over, the team needs to be fully purged. Wont happen but thats what it needs.

What's your definition to fully purged

Is that every single player on the roster

All Phil has to do is work that Zen magic. Inform Melo that the process to contention may take a large chunk of his time here, and if winning is his goal he would try to accommodate him on that. So yes, I'm fully endorsing melo getting traded. Everyone needs to go,. It's the only way to truly establish a culture change and a new identity.
