For those of u who want Larkin out of town, this young kid dude is the only player I would keep around if I were Phil. He has heart, excellent defensive fundamentals, a pure PG, great shooting form, and a competitor. Some here simply undervalue what this kid can become. No disrespect, but u r all fools.

After two years, this kid will be a special player. He just need to familiarize himself with where he can make shots on the court; and he needs to become a more vocal leader as a PG

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

He definitely is getting better. As a starter he seemed like he was always trying not to make a mistake. Coming in off the bench is aggressive, opportunistic and plays in the flow of the game. I don't think he gets offered much. His height and his production probably limit what another team gives him. I would like to see him back.

As usual, Knicks always find ways to lose talented players, but often keep the not so worthy ones.

Well he damn sure is better than what we have now. At least he could shoot the ball. He did well taking Derek Rose place.

Good thing Phil Jackson picked up his option so he'll be back next season. Oh wait, no he didn't. Larkin is as good as gone this summer.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Shane is the best PG on a team that has won 5 games. I would seek higher benchmark player.

Well said. We even didn't pick up his option when he knew he was gonna get "developmental" minutes due to Jose's injury.
Such a low risk move to pick up that 1.6 million option. A team looking for a cheap backup will offer him more.
And we also lost the ability to trade him more than likely, as the team receiving him can't offer more than 1.6 million as well (those "rights" transfer).

The dude is small. He is on terrible team. No one will take him.
So expect small fella to be back for Summer league and training camp.
Not sure we can make use of him long term but he can run around MSG a year or 2 more.
He may get accustomed to some role and play 3rd PG on future good Knicks team.

Agree. I don't see anyone giving him 1.7 mil.

I am not very impressed with Phil's moves as GM thus far. He hired the wrong coaching staff, terrible trades, etc. I am curious to see what he does next.

Because he's had so much to work with so far.
