This guy is way over his head, between the funky subbing and the overall emotion he shows ( which is none) with the group we have you got to get into it! as well as his cluelessness on defensive schemes.. This guy needs to be a assistant for the next five years before he even deserves a shot at head coach... Man Phil must be kicking himself for losing out on Kerr.. It's time to call jvg ! A coach that holds players accountable !

We are tanking so what does it matter? The message is to lose games, winning with this squad is a bad idea and a recipe for disaster. We need a top pick, it's the only wy to get Melo help and build out the roster.

Why in the hell was he given a five year contract is beyond my intelligence

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Dude! We r not losing games intentionally. We are a bad roster that is poorly coached. When you tell your players not to guard the three line, you are basically giving carte Blanche to the opposing team. Lock your front door, but leave your windows wide open during a raining storm

to be honest ... I was never a fisher fan. Not as a player and not now as a rookie coach.

kerr seemed liked the far better option (and a much better player pound for pound)

carlisle we be really nice to have ... I think that he is very very underrated

Ok, you said it.

The real reason is your reacting to the short term and extrapolate the present into the future. You see Fish as he is and can't comprehend that he'll learn and get better. He is a quality guy and obviously has made an impression on the most winning coach in history.

SO we got Knicks1969 who admits the hiring is beyond his intelligence vs. Phil. You do understand Kerr's roster is way better than ours right? I mean they won 55 games last year with a coach that aided in an dysfunctional environment, so this guy need not be a rocket scientist.

Phil, a man who has 11 rings from coaching, two while playing for Red might have some clue in identifying a young man who he thinks has the necessary qualities to win.

Just not right away.

Nalod ... just because Phil was an excellent coach with excellent rosters does not mean that he has made the right moves here.

So far, ever move and non move looks pretty bad.

I understand the tank, the system etc ...

You have to earn 60 million bucks ... by the end of year 2, we should have a pretty good picture I guess though now its a butt ugly picture.

Maybe this is why nobody really adopted this stupid triangle ... maybe MJ, (shaq and kobe), etc ... made the triangle look less bad.

The triangle does not seem like modern, cutting edge bball.

Phil is a smart guy and can recover from mistakes hopefully

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Remember that time when Jason Kidd with Williams, Johnson, Pierce, Garnett, Lopez started 10-21 and Kidd was telling players to run into him to fake spill drinks on the floor because they ran out of timeouts.

Give him at least a season to learn the ropes. Or would you rather we fire him, get a better short term replacement and maybe win 30 games and get a crap pick?

Its called long term thinking. You commit to guys and develop them and give them time to improve and get better- an alien concept to many knick fans.

I think Fisher is doing a great job. I can't think of a cosch that would've led this disgraceful team to a record better than 5-22
I think I'm over the fisher experiment
