A coach that holds players accountable !
Why in the hell was he given a five year contract is ]beyond my intelligence
Ok, you said it.
The real reason is your reacting to the short term and extrapolate the present into the future. You see Fish as he is and can't comprehend that he'll learn and get better. He is a quality guy and obviously has made an impression on the most winning coach in history.
SO we got Knicks1969 who admits the hiring is beyond his intelligence vs. Phil. You do understand Kerr's roster is way better than ours right? I mean they won 55 games last year with a coach that aided in an dysfunctional environment, so this guy need not be a rocket scientist.
Phil, a man who has 11 rings from coaching, two while playing for Red might have some clue in identifying a young man who he thinks has the necessary qualities to win.
Just not right away.
Nalod ... just because Phil was an excellent coach with excellent rosters does not mean that he has made the right moves here.
So far, ever move and non move looks pretty bad.
I understand the tank, the system etc ...
You have to earn 60 million bucks ... by the end of year 2, we should have a pretty good picture I guess though now its a butt ugly picture.
Maybe this is why nobody really adopted this stupid triangle ... maybe MJ, (shaq and kobe), etc ... made the triangle look less bad.
The triangle does not seem like modern, cutting edge bball.
Phil is a smart guy and can recover from mistakes hopefully
so here is what phil is thinking ....
