Now I dont think hes ready--but Ive seen everyone of his games and hes getting better quickly. He has the body of a young Patrick Ewing--already has the nice stroke down from the FT line--can block shots like Patrick and is learning the post--hes 2 years behind Patrick at the same age--Id consider his development Patrick Ewing as a high school C. But the guy is the fastest Uconn player up and down the floor and hes 7 feet tall. He's going to have to bring it up against Okafor on Thursday. Here is soem video of his 40-12-3 game Sunday. Since he is an athletic 7 footer hes going to be looked strong all year. In the video you will see an interesting player--6-8 Daniel Hamilton--who I believe can play PG.

That YouTube clip was an awesome display of nothing. There was no display of skill whatsoever.

Vmart--being a 7 footer with a 7-6 wingspan is a skill in itself--you cant teach that--you just have to be it. Havent seen many 7 footers this year go for 40 points and hit 14-16 from the line while grabbing 12 rebounds and blocking 3 shots. His skill level is still more like a guy who is still in high school--hes behind a bit but you cant teach being 7 feet and athletic and the big pluses are the shooting stroke and speed. Hes not someone whos going to go top 5 but IF he wants to go he'll go somewhere between 10-17 on potential alone. Well see how he plays Ok4 this Thursday. I think Amida is 225 and Ok4 is 270 so Ok4 should be able to bully him a bit--I think Amida might have some length on him.

You can't teach height. But you remember Thabeet, your a UCONN guy. I don't see the skill set that will make him a hit in the NBA. I gave you an example of Whiteside you look at his college number and you would think this guy should be great in the NBA. I have not seen Brimah play but from the clip you get nothing. Just a bunch of alley-oops that really has nothing to do with him. Let see what happens in two, three years.

Vmart agree with you 100%. This is a player who should stay in school put on 20 pounds of muscle and continue to develop his skills. Its the NBA that kills it--you just need 1 team that likes him in a draft that is not the deepest and see's his athletic ability a nd size looks at his shooting stroke and says we will work with that0--how many times has that happened? Thabeet was a little taller and stronger but hes no where near the athlete Amida is. I thought Thabeet had a chance to be a Mark eaton type 7-2 265 pounds etc.. but he just wasnt. Bridah's longer term potential has offensive capabilities in it.

This kid needs 4 years of school. Every opportunity he had to get better he should take advantage.

Gotta love a highlight reel that shows your 10 foot jumper getting partially blocked.
