None of what Kerr is doing is surprising. He's a smart guy but he also has a phenomenal roster. I still prefer Fisher to him because of our unique situation. We need a guy that is player friendly and can recruit guys, which Fisher is better suited for.

You didn't need to be Nostradamus to see where this season was headed. This team is trash, but we have cap space and a high draft pick next year. Just stay strong until June.

Steve Kerr isn't player friendly? Seems pretty friendly to me & less apt to have a 'leadership' problem.

Switch both these guys & the records would be similar. Maybe Golden State would have 5 or 6 losses instead of 2.

And we though Fisher was being overpaid as a first year coach.

I don't think we're paying him enough!

Marvelous job of maximizing our draft chances the only year it matters.

I'm just glad I'm not paying to go to these games.

Kerr seems to be a good choice by Phil, and by Warrior.

Kerr seems to have made a good choice to stay near family in Calif, get paid and have a contending team.
Remember, the Warriors fired Marc Jax cuz he was not well liked and they thought the team still underachieved after winning 55 games.

So bringing in a new guy known for having good people skills was important.

Would Fish have done as good a job there? Regarding the "Triangle", since the team was functioning at a pretty high level it needed a tune up, not a make over. Knicks need a make over. Two teams, very stark difference in roster construction.

Phils the boss, and he wants the triangle.

To be fair he has a talented roster so tahts makes things much easier. But again this is why drafting is important as well as finding good talent to put around your top guys without overpaying

Warriors did a good job over a long period to construct that team. They traded Monta Ellis for Bogut which gave Klay room to grow. Big piece was Curry's ankles healed after two tough seasons.

I think in NYC we'd have crushed the kid with expectations.
They used free agency well to basically get Dlee.

Kerr got more money, a better roster, and was able to stay closer to home. No brainer for him. A different coach wouldn't change the fact that the Knicks are starting and giving major minutes to D-Leaguers. Pretty sure Kerr hasn't been forced to do that at all this season.

Steve Kerr has the best young backcourt in basketball... better to coach that for a decade than to coach the 2015 New York Cap Spacers

You are very correct, just wish the Knicks would do the same for THJ. Let him grow into his role. I'm getting sick about hearing his defense, it can be learned. Klay is an all world defender right? I've seen him play defense and it's right along the line of how THJ plays defense.

If Kerr was our coach, what do honestly think our record would be?

Guy is an other worldly coach. All-time great in the making. That said, maybe 5-19.
