Tanksgiving came early this year, tanks to the Knicks (who could really change their names to "The Tanks"). And so we have the bizarre scenario of fans rooting for their team to lose.

(Haven't we been in this part of the Knicks cycle sometime in the past 10 years. I'm sure I remember rooting for them to lose so they could get a high draft pick. I think they selected Jordan Hill.)

So much fun. It's even funner once you've learned to actively hate them; then you can root for them to lose every year!

There's another possibility though. Occam's Razor says:

"If you have two equally likely solutions to a problem, choose the simplest."

Which is the simplest explanation:

The Knicks suck
The Knicks are deliberately losing in order to (possibly) get a high first-round draft pick this year

They'll embrace the tank now. Doesn't matter if that was not Plan A. Melo's vacation is coming, news already primed. The tank is on.

yeah ... last night it looked like the tank was officially on.

Love how Cole comes in for 4 minutes, is a +6 (in 4 minutes!!!) and then quickly gets yanked. SMH

Yeah, show your worth and you become an immediate detriment. You did good, now Sit!

Amar'e is the only one who is getting full license because he gives the public somebody to watch score a bit while posing no threat at playing well enough on the other end to produce wins. Plus, maybe he will be moved if somebody wants to use his last half season for some bench scoring in which case he has been showcasing himself well.
