Look, we all know it, the stats prove it to be true, even our heroes all say that when Pablo is on the court the team functions more efficiently and better. Two nights ago against the Cavs a 10-0 run when Pablo stepped on the court, last night our "comeback" was when Pablo was on the court. We all can give example after example, but all Knick fans and players know Pablo is the key to effectively operating any offense we might have.
But Fisher went with Barry Larkin's kid in crunch time against Cavs. How'd that missed floater to take the lead look? Do we really need to see Barry Larkin's kid in crucial moments? If I want to see one bad pass after another I'll watch the NY Jets. Please, let Barry Larkin's kid play point guard only in practice or at Garden Of Dreams events.
And as our starting point guard Fisher goes with Pete Sampras. Last night against the lowly Hornets Sampras went 0 for 5 from three point range and then WOW, he finally hit a three pointer....too bad Sampras doesn't understand there's 48 minutes in a basketball game, not 48:01. He should go back to tennis where there is no time limit.
Now there is a problem. Yes, Pablo should be playing the majority of the time. A large majority. But the guy is 37 years old. Can we try to get 35-40 minutes from him every night? (Rest him every fifth game.) I see it as the only way we can salvage something out of this season. Maybe get to an eighth seed.
