The reason I pick these 2 players

They were supposedly the 2 most promising difference makers

To turn a borderline 37 win team into a 50 win team

You could argue Jose hasn't been healthy but it's not a valid excuse

As we needed him to be ready day 1

Chumpert hey his play never passed the eye nor stat sheet test with me

Simply a puke all your acid out of your stomach type of player

Which one of them becomes legendary

I told you all that Shump could not keep the early production up. He got all of his points minus Carlderon in the lineup. Upon Calderon's return he is no longer asked to dominate the ball, so that messed up his rythm. Giving the greenlight he is given by fisher, this dude really should be called on for more points and rebounds. He is by far the only guard who has gotten consistent minutes under Fisher
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

you sir are a jeanyus

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

So we're judging Calderon now when he clearly isn't up to speed after missing a month. Brilliant. Keep up the excellent analysis and Dolan esq patience Knick fans!

This is the most feeble bit of reasoning I've read in a while. We're back to the old 'facts don't count!'.

I wasn't being serious there. The downgrade is probably mostly the loss of Tyson and maybe slightly the coaching change.

Awesome.
One guy is an 11 year pro who is a member of the 50-40-90 club and he starts off the year hurt and now he is a myth because he got hurt at the start of the season?

injuries happen so i dont blame him for that. However personally i have never been a big calderon fan. Like his shooting but i dotn think he is a pg who will make a huge difference

Calderon is absolutely a difference maker but the problem is we need him to be our 2nd best player and that shouldn't be the case. But he's a great role player.

actually looking at this team I think Phil has it right. Calderon and Melo are the only keepers. Everyone else is gone. Hopefully it doesnt cost us anything to purge JR.

But this is what happens when you go all in on one player and without draft picks

Nothing in his career suggest that he's been this

We have him back now and we're not playing better

He's been ultra subpar, okay chalk it up to being behind

The rest of the league near 20gms in

What player does he make better on our team

Does our offense look better

Are we still getting ate up in the back court

Jose is not a building block. He's a medium-term rental, a place marker for the PG position should the Knicks ever snap out of their PG purgatory mind funkadunk and get a quality PG who could be around for a while.

Jose can't fix stupid. It's not a smart collection of players. And Jose can't do much to help already spotty to horrid D. He's not going to save this team.

He looks overpriced now, probably a bad move now since we have to tank to save the franchise. Would have been just as happy rolling this season with World Class Pablo, crack baby and a cheap FA PG.

My original assumption was he was hired to teach our team how to play the triangle, but that doesn't compute any longer. Too many dummies and pigheads to teach.

He's OK. Not special and definitely not a game changer. We'll keep losing.

I agree with that. If you can be fully replaced by Jameer Nelson and Devin Harris and the team's offense is actually better now, what does that say?

Quite possibly maybe one of the most over sold Knick ever

And no disrespect to Jose, I like him but he's not that guy
