Oh God, I wouldn't want that trainwreck back in a Knick uniform. He's Eddy Curry squashed into a 6"2' frame. Not sure what the hell happened to him but he definitely wore out his welcome here with that ****ty, self-entitled attitude of his. And he's still not healthy!

Maybe we could figure out a way to parlay Felton with something to get him off the team. I don't care for Eric Gordon but I like him better than JR Smith or Raymond Felton. A deal where we move both those ****ty contracts, Shumpert and Dalembert for Gordon and a pick from Pelicans (in addition to Dallas' pick) would be appealing to me.

Where in the draft would the Pelican's pick be?

The Pelicans are 7-8, which makes them 11th in the West and slated for the 12th pick in the draft. They did get off to a strong enough start but have lost the last 3 games, due to Gordon and Asik's absence (injury). Should they make the deal and teams like the Kings fall off, I think they'll be in the thick of the playoff hunt. Realistically, I see the pick anywhere between 12th to 15th. Shumpert and Dalembert are definitely not worth that BUT I think Demps is really on the hot seat, which is why he gave up a first rounder for Asik, who was going to be a free agent in a year's time. Considering how bad a contract Eric Gordon is as well, I think it has a shot of happening if pursued.

Trade exceptions arent assets.

...except for the part where they are. A trade exception landed the Warriors Andre Igoudala, who was one of the best free agents available in 2013.

Actually the Sign and trade with Denver did.

They had to dump Andries Biedrins and Richard Jefferson to even have a shot at acquiring Andre Igoudala. The Jazz trade had been agreed to first. The sign and trade for Igoudala was negotiated thereafter.
