This team is terrible is an understatement.
Bunch of playoff teams bunch of improvement teams (non playoffs) upcoming slowly, and yes a whole BUNCH of bad teams.

Alot of teams with lots of injuries KEY stars such as OKC & alot of these teams with missing players
play better effort than Derek Fishers NY Knicks.

Alot of teams Pacers, Bulls, Spurs, On and on and on missing players and have managed to be GOOD Or at least respectable.
Knickerbockers aren't respectable they are Despicable!

I am always more concerned with how we play when win OR lose, but more importantly defense.

Derek Fisher does not have any consistent defense rotation and players seem undisciplined in what game plan is,
coaches are as bad as Knicks players lacking effort. Guys on team don't even seem least upset at embarrassments,
don't want to hear bout' bunch of newbie knicks on roster. EVERYONE get chance for minutes to play & over 80% of them Su_cks'.

The have to be one of the worst defensive teams in consistently making an effort to guard from 1-12 players on roster whomever gets in the game it dont matter for these guys. The team is slow, the team only focus is on peritimeter shot success & ya know what ? they
can't even shoot it well enough to win once OR so per week.

AMAZING eh?
If you notice too when Knicks cant score they are disinterested, dishearthened and do not put up
any fight in many games.

But ya know what? whassup?
All the as-bins OR bad NBA teams outside the knicks got alot more effort & care in their approach to NBA Games...

Fisher and his coaches are TERRIBLE Defensive adjustment coaches & likely does not have the players he need to guard
but ya know what ? D.Fisher, P.Jackson ,, coaches OR the new Los-Angeles Knicks front office Picked and assembled these
inept jokers in white/orange & blue Knick uniform jerseys. Call em' Fake Knicks for the moment.
Lets not use Carmelo Anthony as an excuse WHOM has had 2-3 good NBA games this season out of whay 17 games ? (minus games missed)

Stop fooling ourselves
The knicks are easily worst team for now in NBA & Only simple thing separates them from Philly's 76ers is 4 wins !
Imagine that eh ? 4 wins from the 76ers winless feat.

Now again Knicks are in every ESPN, FOX NBA and NBA-TV highlight reel making mockery of now showing up for competing at least.
Don't wanna hear about the great effort of NYK in Houston, dont certainly wanna hear about the close near win chance in Dallas,
Don't even wanna hear about the win in Cleveland vs. Lebron's new team. By the way LOTS of folks has beat CAVs this season, &
LBJ Cleveland team will be fine. They lose not cause of lack of effort and prep.

But back to Knicks
I Am tired of Tim Hardaway Jr. already , he's exposed and no confidence when he cant score.
He's a nice guy tough 2nd yr, but he isn't impressive even as seen that he can't pass, cant defend.
Looks lost is why he sits sometimes.

JR Smith ? experienced vet is like a Re-fixed used Car Tire. That rubber mucker is only going to be as good as his next jumper!

Rest of Knicks like Shump and Sam D. try, but not enough leadership from either of them since both guys are best knicks
but more followers THAN LEADERs. You cant win with bunch of followers.

Knicks lost, Coaches lost.
ITs a hard time to be a Knick fan, we're ridiculed at home games now.
So until this bleeding stops ? Winning games will help but fans can't wait and wait but for something good to happen here.

4 Wins and we're not far from Christmas 2014.
You all can't be happy at all.. On how they lose

*Chow , later
Nuff Respect .. belated Thanksgiving wishes & weekend TO ALL sincerely

Instead of stressing out, get on the Tank Train and enjoy the top-3 draft pick plus 2*max salary slots we will have next off-season. How quickly can things turn around here? VERY quickly, as in next season we will be able to start focusing on wins and shaping our culture. It's going to be a fun ride, so don't sweat so hard.

DJ, feel better.
A good rant usually does.

Now that your done remember that Melo is not a savior and can't carry this sorry mess.

We knew this offense would take months to get ingrained. Phil told us this.
We know JR is defective. Its why he is here. Nobody wanted him. We needed him at times.

We have a draft pick and its time to tank. Its ugly. its necessary.
The Zen Master has a plan. 5 days short of a month is not almost christmas. The season is only a month old.
Breath, watch college ball.

Also, if you were phil, how would you go about it? Big picture thinking mind you.
He is learning who can play the system and who can't. The current guys deserve a chance. they are under contract.

Today Im digging out some rotting wood on a project on my property. I know its there, but I have to dig it out and then cut some good wood to clear it all out. Phil is doing the same.

In order to build a steady structure you sometimes have to dig deeper to set an anchor. Like a sky scraper, you go down before you up. The taller the building the lower you go. In the first month you see a hole and ask: "if we are going up, why does the builder go the opposite way?"

I don't know where you're getting two max salary spots from. Let's assume the cap raises $5M this Summer, which is a very big jump, to $68M. Right now, we have $34M in guaranteed money next year in Melo, Calderon, Prigioni, Hardaway, and Early. That doesn't include JR's $6.3M option, Shumpert's cap hold which should be over $7.5M or his qualifying offer which is $3.8M, Acy's team option of $1.1M, or Wear's team option of $1M. JR's a wild card whether or not he picks up his option, I'm assuming we're going to at least want to bring back Shumpert, Acy's definitely gone, and Wear we probably want to bring back. Our 1st round pick will also eat into that space; a top 3 pick will make at least $4.5M. We're looking at a minimum of $4.5M and around $20M depending on what happens with our free agents.

If we jettison all our potential free agents and keep our 1st round pick our cap number will be $39M plus $2.5M in cap holds which would leave us with $27M in space. A max salary with a $68M salary cap for a free agent coming off his rookie deal would be $16M; for a player with 7-9 years experience would be $19M; and for a player with 10+ years experience would be $22M. We'd have Melo-Calderon-Prigioni-Hardaway-Early-1st rounder-Max slot and between $5M and $11M to fill out the rest of the roster.

If JR opts in, which isn't unreasonable considering how terribly he's played, we resign Shumpert at $7M/year, and we pick up Wear's option (a guy we traded assets in order to free up a roster spot for) then our cap number would be $53M with another $1M in cap holds leaving us with only $15M in cap room. In this scenario we have no max salary spot available.

Just looked it up, you're right. Only $290k of his salary is guaranteed next so we can have an extra $1.4M in cap space next Summer.

Knicks declined Shump's option so they are only able to make a qualifying offer if they want him to be restricted. Also, I think there will be some moves made that either increase or decrease cap space before the season is over.

I think you're getting confused with Larkin; we declined his option and can only offer his option amount in free agency. Shumpert's in his 4th season so we have no more options left on him. You're right that we're going to offer him his qualifying offer and I'd expect him to turn it down and become a restricted free agent. We'll have his Bird rights which creates a cap hold of 200% of his current salary.
