![]() Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: So Bargs has now just gone down with a calf strain (so likely out at least another month), on top of the previous hamstring injury, and the half season he missed with the elbow (following the summer where he was way laid with pneumonia, following the season he had the elbow tendon tear with the Raps). So where does the Barg trade rank in terms of Knick stinkers? We traded two good chemistry guys (Novak and Camby), and more importantly our 2016 first round pick, and our 2014 and 2017 2nd rounders. The 2016 pick was justified at the time as likely being a mid first rounder because the Nuggets had the right to swap. However now the Nuggets stink, and it could be a lottery pick (if we luck out in 2015 free agency and the Nuggets go for a rebuild). In addition the loss of the 1st rounder was likely the reason why we didn't end up with Lowry (Dolan didn't want to give that Raptors GM two first round picks). Even when he's not injured, he seems to have a negative impact on the team- he's just an awful useless player. That trade is going right up there with the prime time Camby and prime time Amar'e for broken McDyess; the trade for Eisley and Shandon Andersons infinite congrats; the Joakime Noah and LaMarcus Aldridge for Eddy Curry; the Zach Randolph for cap space trade; the Ewing trade for a decade of salary cap hell.... Jesus! We could have spent this past decade watching a front court of Camby and Amar'e (before they broke down), or Joakime Noah and LaMarcus Aldridge, or Zach Randolph! Instead we end up with fools like Eddy Curry and Bargs! Arrgghhh! |
