I don't know if I'm with everybody else on this one but Al Harrington is good enough to merit giving up Sweetney, Frank Williams, and expiring contracts? Lotto pick, backup PG, and expiring contracts to get a "young star" as you said? I just haven't seen it. To get Tyson Chandler, who has shown he has the ability to become a prolific rebounder and shotblocker with 20+ rebound games and excellent shotblocking nights I'd CONSIDER giving up that much.

Al Harrington? I think he's going to be a good player but to give up all that to get him, maybe it's just me, I just don't think he's that good. Did Sweetney show you nothing at all that you're going to give up on him that quickly?

What??? When did Al Harrington get this good? Give them the Knicks two most promising young players and expiring contracts to get Al Harrington? Come on.

Yeah, that was a bit ridiculous. It wouldn't take that much to get him and no one would give up that much to get him.

It would take that much for Bird to decide to send him to Isiah.

giving so much for harrington is pointless. We don't care about what bird wants if it's not our price.

I don't know where you're getting this information from, but you're the only one here who thinks Bird would demand that much in a trade. Of course we're all speculating since none of us have talked to Bird, but using logic, no one here thinks Bird could possibly expect that much for Al.

i think Bird will ask for alot if he's going to be dealing w/Isiah...he's not going to do the Knicks any favors by handing over 1 of his most promising young players for just a backup PG & cap relief for example.

I think he could....I think his post game is better than Jermaine to tell you the truth.

I saw the game when he dropped 40pts. If any of you say that game then you know he is very capable of 20/10.

i think Harrington is capable of being an Antawn Jamison type player who plays better defense...i think that's worth giving up alot to get...but that's just me.
