![]() Would you guys be willing to assume "bad" contracts in exchange for draft picks in the 20-29 range? Are there serviceable role players that could help a team's win-now efforts? Do you anticipate a skew in terms of position (e.g. more guards, more forwards or more centers)?
I was just wondering because the Celtics are sitting pretty with a slew of picks that I suspect they'd be willing to trade if it meant dumping Gerald Wallace. If I'm not mistaken, they'll have 10 draft picks over the next 4 seasons so I think they'd move one or two in the right deal. Next year in particular, they'll have 3 first rounders including the Clippers pick, which I think will be better than anticipated. So would you do Amare and cash for Brandon Bass, Gerald Wallace, Victor Favarni and that Clippers pick? Maybe Bargnani for Gerald Wallace, the Clippers pick and a few of the eight 2nd rounders that they have during that span? http://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/future_drafts/detailed |
