Would anybody be interested in him for the MLE?

I'm just convinced Houston is going to be out for 50+ games next year, and don't think the Knicks can convince Stephen Jackson to come here off the bench.

Miles has the athleticism and size to be a great SG. One reason why I think Isiah would be interested in him is because he grew up in Chicago, and I recall during the time when they got Nazr the papers were writing about how Isiah had an affinity towards players from the slums of Chicago, where IT grew up.

If nothing else, I'd like to split the MLE on Miles and Chris Andersen, two guys who could come here cheap and be pretty effective.

if we sign dmiles, then penny and shandon get absolutely no type of run unless h20 is hurt.

I think at this point, with Houston getting hydro treatment in Boston, that he will be hurt.

What's the negative about Shandon getting absolutely no type of run, he's the worst player in the NBA. Penny moves back to SG, and Miles backs up the 3. They're pretty much interchangeable.

DerMarr's a FA...they might not even sign him...though Isiah has said he'd like to have him back.

& to BigSmooth, Miles is signed already to make $5,419,480 in his last season before he becomes an UFA...so forget about splitting any MLE on him & Chris Anderson.

He'd be a decent player to add, but there are about a dozen other players I'd rather spend the MLE on.

I don't know if any team would give him more than $3-$4 million per year to begin.

Miles is from East St. Louis, which is in Illinois. I don't believe its in Chicago, but I know it's pretty close.

I guess I'm with Bonn, a nice player, but not what the Knicks need right now.

I always thought St. Louis was in Missouri. At least it's been there since the last time I was in grade school.

We don't need Miles......Knicks need Dampier or Quientin Richardson or Stephen Jackson with that mid-level exemption....probably in that order.

I'm sick of hearing about Houston and Hydro-therapy. His career is over......sign "Q". At least "Q" has a wicked killer instinct and he hits the boards. Marbury and "Q" would be the strongest backcourt in the NBA....and deadliest.

Richardson can get much more than the MLE.

Why are you sick of hearing about Houston? I really don't think the odds of him coming back at full strength are very good.

Still don't need Miles anyway.
Miles was just involved in some drug bust by a major drug spot out there. Miles wasn't arrested because they said he didn't break any laws. His friends that were with him got arrested though.

Stupid. When you are a millionare you don't hang out in the hood like that anymore. Imagine if Skip Alston was caught on Guy Brewer in Queens involved in something like that. That would be the end of him.

Micheal Rappaport grew up in brooklyn and he still could be found in Brownsville during the summer but you will not hear about him getting arrested up in Marcus Garvey Projects for the same reason.

It's so stupid.

Even me....I live in Manhatten now still in a bad neighborhood, but it's nothing like East New York where I grew up. Imagine me now that I have kids standing on a corner like Belmont and Euclid just chillin with those crazy cats over there. That is too much of a risk to stay close to the "hood".

I agree...but Isiah has to get at him and get in his head at least. "Q" blowing up in MSG would blow his career up rather than playing in Denver even if he would be next to Carmelo.

Why are you sick of hearing about Houston? I really don't think the odds of him coming back at full strength are very good.

I think you disagreed with me and then agreed at the same time with this line. That's not the first time I've noticed you doing that. You are like the "Rick James" of this forum.

"Why would I go up in somebody's house and grind my shoes in there couch come on I gotta little more sense than that.Yeah I remember grinding my feet in Charlies couch." - Rick James. You gotta be a Dave Chappelle Show fan to get that joke.

Maybe Isiah could lure Q, but I don't think he'd like being Marbury's sidekick anymore than he does Carmelo's.

Ouch, the Rick James potshot. Haha hilarious show. Anyway, I don't see how I disagreed with you, you wrote you were sick of hearing about Houston implying you didnt' think he'd get hurt, and I said why are you sick about him getting hurt when the chances he will be hurt are like 90%.

I'm lost....

To clarify my comments....Houston is annoying me with all this injury rehab stuff. I want him replaced. I'm sick of readign stuff about him rehabing. Screw him.....we gotta get insurance.

As far as Stephen Jax and "Q" excepting a lesser role....If they wanna win a championship I bet they wouldn't mind splitting minutes with Houston. You can't stop neither "Q" or Stephen from getting playing time cuz they are too good to sit for long. If you faze out Shandon and DeMarr then there are plenty of minutes to go around.

Im sorry my man, I thought you were sick of hearing that Houston wouldn't be hurt. Sorry about the mix up. I agree, addressing SG should be a definite priority.

I agree about the lesser role stuff with Jackson and Richardson, but I think it's more realistic with Jackson. Richardson, looking at it objectively, has gotta believe he'll have a better shot winning a championship in Denver with Melo. Who knows, we'll have to see how this stuff plays out, it'll be interesting to see if IT trusts Allan or if he goes out and pursues SGs. Isiah does have the Chicago connection with Richardson, and maybe he wants to come play in the EC. I just think when Denver can offer you millions more and the chance to play with Melo its tough to turn down.

I would be disappointed if Demarr Johnson isn't re-signed. It appeared that the confidence in his shot was returning with increased PT, and few players on the team have comparable length or quickness at their respective position.

I want Shandon bought out. I can't stand him.

AGREED!

Let's start a buy-out-Shandon fund. If we all contribute a dollar...

Man screw that sorry stuff. Blah Blah Blah yackety smackety.....
It's all good in the hood and it should! Lol.

Yup...."Q" is definately going to Denver. Carmelo hinted that he wanted to get a better shooting guard in the new Slam magazine. You can tell he meant "Q". That would make Denver really good. Now if Andre Miller could learn how to run a team.
