Not sure what your issue is with him, is this based solely on you eye test?

He passed my eye test and then I checked the stats and he surely passed there as well.

It's never really been about his ability

To get numbers and be productive

It's how he goes about getting them and

Is it done without causing an expense to the team

He's an above average player who's nowhere close

To being a Superstar Franchise talent

I'm sure Laker Fans echoed the same as you

When critics come down on Kobe's play

Superstar?? No way! Who said that?

He is very serviceable and can be a solid contributor. Half of his contributions will never even show up in the stats (and his stats last year were through the roof)

He is also a very smart passer and sees the wings very well. He has good hands and his offensive moves will improve. Its hard for a big to be efficient in the triangle without a good mid range shot.

I hate Kobe but he was certainly a superstar. Though, not because he was an efficient scorer but because he was all world on defense and good on offense (though very detrimental in many ways).
