Lin is like a SG with additional PG skills, so in that sense he would be good in a triangle system since he would be free to shoot when it is clearly his shot, but he'd recognize good passing opportunities.
Since I have not watched him much since he left I can't say where he's at presently, but my fear is just not that durable and his career may by limited by injuries. Otherwise, I like him and think he has a good combination of aggression and intelligence.
It is just his luck to play with a ball dominant guy like Hardin and now its Kobe. Lin can be good if he is given the ball, but not in the offensive systems he has played in. The triangle would be best for a player like him.
When he had his epic run here, he was very effectively dishing to Novak for threes, Tyson for PnRs and hitting Jared Jeffries for lobs. He made quite a few back door passes and generally a very good distributor. That was with Melo out, so it was not the top talent level we ever had, but it was for a while the most cohesive. I think he wants to play a team game and may struggle until he is in the right situation, which is true for many players.
