What a radical change from night to night. It seemed like we were swarming and that Clev was forced to take bad outside shots. When someone drove past their man--there was a second defender waiting for him. Everyone gave contribution and we can say whatever about Cole A but he is a load in there. Hes the kind of guy at the YMCA that bangs you every single play and it wears on you.

Good post. It was clear that they executed much better last night. That is how they were supposed to defend. If they can avoid backsliding into lazy D and play as a unit, they can win games with that D.

Gotta give it to Fish playing Cole and giving him a chance to show what he can do. Clearly we need another Defensive C besides Dalembert. Cole really held it down last night. As did Wear, Acy n Jason. Good effort overall. We're gonna need that all year.

The perimeter D was much better. They closed down penetration as a team. There were fewer breakdowns. Better effort overall. Playing a deep rotation kept guys fresh.

I don't mean to take away from what the Knicks did they did a lot of good but Cavs did a lot of wrong too. There we're passes LeBron made that were good but his teammates were in the wrong spot. It made the Knicks look good. It is really tough to make anything of two games need a larger sample to really know what the Knicks have.

So Dalembert's not hurt, he's just too big and slow for the Cavs?

And the Knicks didn't really play well, because Jason Smith working the triangle, Shump hitting jumpers and layups, JR hitting a dagger, and Melo using LeQ in the final seconds obviously doesn't count when LeQ's good passes are to nobody.

If we did get blown out, this board would be going effing nuts. SMH

Cole, Acy, shump,Jason smith, wear, and Larkin all play great defense... After watching the game Acy really made a impact on both ends of the floor..cole really issue best option for getting the bulk of the center minutes. Talking about Knicks and good defense brings me all the way back to 94.. Finally we have defensive minded players!

Funny thing is, Love and Kyrie got their stat lines.
