Jimmy Butler Rejects 'Hometown Discount' Offer From Bulls, will be going to restricted FA

Reggie Jackson Determined To Find Starting Job In Restricted Free Agency (expected to look for $13-14mil per season).

Hmm- who would you prefer, Butler or Reggie Jackson?

At this point, I'd say our FA targets are:

C/PF's- Marc Gasol, Greg Monroe, Millsap

Guards: Reggie Jackson, maybe Butler, Afflalo, Mathews

Butler probably isn't an option

Bulls can still match offers, they want his market value established

That's how Krause operates for the most part

Afflalo at this stage Yuck Yuck Yuck

None of those guys put us in contention territory

Krause left the bulls in 2003.

I meant Reinsdorf, good catch

I hate how extreme Rubio's game is

One night he looks like the best PG in the NBA

Then the next night he looks like

He should be scrubbing Sebastian Telfair's sneakers

He does need to be more consistent but his passing is off the charts

Most Knicks fans were absolutely brutal about Hill, saying he was a worthless POS. He was a # 7 pick. He should have been developed. I don't think that would happen now, yahweh permitting.

that is another reason why tanking for a high pick may not work in NY. We don't have the patience to develop our high picks.

Jordan Hill looks like a really nice player for the triangle.

That depends. Will we develop players now? If so, then the past is not indicative of how we'll handle personnel now. Or does the NYC glitz factor still override even the best intentions to develop players Phil may have? I don't know.

I'd like to believe. We already have a very different coaching approach happening in real time. No way, I mean no effing way, we would have seen Wear, Cole, even Acy playing real minutes in a victory over Cleveland under any of the past half dozen Knicks coaches.

So if we're playing players who would have never gotten burn before, then it seems like we are in the mode of developing talent already.

In the past, coaches who buried players would spout nonsense like "I like veterans" or "Not ready for prime time" when they were just being stubborn and probably stupid. So I already like Fish for this reason alone. He is clearly not stupid and he just may be very smart.

You do not sign a high level free agent in the peak of his prime only to tank for his entire contact looking for lottery picks.

with that said....Jordan hill brings something we don't have. He's essentially a young Amare with real rebounding ability and defense.

Melo
Dalembert
