This would have to occur after December 15th to shed all trade restrictions but...
Isiah Thomas, Gerald Green and Tyler Ennis for...
Jose Calderon, Tim Hardaway Jr, Shane Larkin and $3 million cash.
PROS: (1) the deal offers more cost-control measures for the Suns who wouldn't have to worry about re-upping Gerald Green long-term. While Calderon makes the same as Isiah, THJR and Larkin make less than Gerald Green and Ennis, respectively. (2) Jose Calderon offers more efficient play as a backup than Isiah Thomas and is better suited to an uptempo, team-conscious system. Jose supposedly offers veteran leadership, which is something that is absent on such a young roster, which should help to pay dividends in the playoffs. (3) The deal helps to alleviate some of the glut they have in their rotation and offers an opportunity for better minutes distribution.
CONS: (1) The Suns easily lose in the trade from a talent perspective, which makes it hard to justify to the fanbase.
