my wet dream scenario:

- Knicks trade Allan Houston, Kurt Thomas & Mike Sweetney for the #1 pick, Juwan Howard, Grant Hill's contract & filler contracts (DeClerq & Garrity)

- then trade Nazr Mohammed & the expiring contracts of DeClerq & Harrington for Erick Dampier

- Isiah signs Chris Anderson to a portion of the MLE & DerMarr to the LLE

- Dikembe Mutombo gets picked up by Charlotte in the expansion draft

- Cezary Trybanski gets waived

new Knicks roster:

C - Dampier / Anderson
PF - Okafor / Juwan / Garrity
SF - Thomas / DerMarr
SG - Penny / Shandon
PG - Marbury / Frank / Moochie
IR - Romain Sato (2nd round pick) / Herve Lamizana (2nd round pick) / Grant Hill

younger team, more balanced, can still make the playoffs next season, & much more athletic.
