knickknack wrote:great article. it was factual with out an agenda for or against Melo, we don't know whose to play for Melo's non ball moving ways of last season. Melo can clear that up by being extremely unselfish this year proving he was simply doing as he was told last year, running a renovated version of Woodson's iso-joe offense.
At some point Melo sat down with Phil and had to make a choice about his game. Move the ball or don't.
Both Kobe and Jordan were ball hogs and had to learn. So the hope is Melo made a decision to stay and be a part of the future or go to Chicago and be on a more talented team.
Not to say we need to "thank him" but lets just say his skill set is as an elite scorer and his team's failure to advance futher can be of many factors but one is that inability for any team or group of players to put the chemistry together. Karl, MDA, Woodson and his own inability to go beyond what makes him that elite scorer is all to blame at some level or another.
This is his last big contract and obvious the money is there but also phil convinced him to accept the challange.
Tune in and find out. Its not gonna happen over night.
