dk7th wrote:he admitted he forced his way here. his lack of success is directly linked to that.

and yet he considers himself underrated.

notice how easy it is for him to compartmentalize!

even better he is comparing himself to derek jeter: ""I know how consistent I've been over my career. To do it day in and day out and night in and night out on a very consistent basis year in year out..."

notice the grandiosity!

just sickening. he needs help alright

In a television interview with ESPN at Monday’s Media Day that has yet to air, Anthony was asked if he felt he’s an underrated superstar. He laughed and said, “I think I’m the most underrated superstar that’s out there, but that doesn’t matter to me.”

On Thursday, Anthony said the question was “a setup.’’ He did not seem angry, but said he just wanted to clear up that he doesn’t feel “slighted.’’

What a jerk?

Listen, he is looking to build an empire
The #1 Digital Athlete in the World
He took 6m less than he could have

He forced his way from Denver to New York to guarantee is 25m instead of signing with this Knick's in the off season (actually much less because the extra year would play out and his salary increases with the year)
That one year that he used to OPT out off to guarantee another 5 years

He still has the big black book to recruit players/talents, however, he chose to get his before he might be asked to take less to recruit more/better talent
I was hoping he would lay EVERYTHING aside, after building up his stats in Woodson's, ME ME ME system, that he saw NOTHING wrong with to build this empire
Lebron is much more talented but what makes him great is also his lock down defense, ability to create for others, his ability to initiate an offense, shoot at over 50%, and LEADERSHIP that CA obviously lacks
Let's see which ALL STAR's we can sign, what Phil Jackson has up his sleave, and how Fisher can mentor, develop, and motivate his troops
Is Phil Jackson looking to surround CA with good role players and B to B+ talents or looking to have one of the Elites like he once had in LA and The Bulls era, if he is looking to build for a dynasty or a 3-5year run

In my opinoin, I am sure he is looking at Durant and will eventually deal STAT to Philly by the trade deadline, if the price is right, 2020 1st round pick and maybe 1 2nd round pick from 2018 and above, though he can still build up the trade value of his current deep team in this system and build more assets to use, the trade exemption for 20m + would be the key (would have 1 year to use of the date acquired and would need Durant/or another star to PUSH the trade like Love recently just did)
It would also us to RESET our current inabilities being repeat tax offenders
So by 2015/16 trade deadline, we would need Durant to pull a Love and join The NYK's

That would currently leave us with the 2015 draft rights *which we can trade at the deadline* and 2018 1st round pick, 2018 2nd rounders and after, and any other additional assets we likely would look to acquire
Problem is Cleveland will only get better, they still have trade exemptions, 2 1st round picks to either use or use in trades this summer, and with another year of experience playing with each other
IF CA chose to not OPT out, actually take a real pay cut for 2015, there is the possbility that Lebron joins NYK's if someone suffers a serious injury in Cleveland like Kevin Love

No doubt he has talent, his willingness to pass, the willingness to take high quality shots, the willingness to use energy on DEF and creating for others rather than his own numbers,
I was hoping this would all end as this would likely be his last contract so he could play with one incentive only, doing what is best for the team with sacrifices for WINNING
However, he is not done, he still wants to put up greater stats to become the #1 Digital Athlete
He put the numbers up with him doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants, shooting all FT's *will be interesting if Calderon will be shooting those FT's instead since he is by far the better FT shooter*

I think Calderon will play well in this system and JR Smith will show up this year in and will opt out of his deal for secruity
Would Phil Jackson look to flip AB's expiring for Josh Smith, maybe throw in Spencer Dwindle as well, or maybe for some of Denver's talents
If Calderon plays well, would OKC be willing to trade Perkin's expiring for him or for AB and some assets, Calderon and some fill ins would compliment OKC well, allowing Westbrook to play SG and can facilitate/hit the 3pt efficiently, initiate the offense with a great T/O to Assist ratio, and would be leverage to Reggie Jackson who said "he would be using what Bledsoe gets ,prior to his max deal, as a comparision to what he thinks he should get
OKC is cheap and plays for a small market but if they get knocked out in the 1st or 2nd round again, Durant likely will leave if so
But likely he will leave anyway with OKC being so close to building a dynasty but was unwilling to pay Harden to keep that core intact
Perkins is a waste of cap space and will be injured to start the season, leaving Steven Adams a chance to take over the position this season, with backups Mitch McGary, Nick Collison, Grant Jarret, possibly Perry Jones with Ibaka
They are still waiting for Jeremy Lamb to develop and signed Anthony Morrow in the meantime who is a 3pt specialist

So until then let's see what Phil Jackson will do till 2015
What will happen with our depth and what assets he can collect/build up and what he will do with expirings in STAT and AB
In the Triangle, 2 main skills that are needed are being able to play effectively without the ball/player movement/making good cuts and with the ball *catch and shoot*, creating shots for others/quality passers, verastile BIGS and all round talents
Also having 2 way players, players that play effectively on both OFF and DEF

IF STAT and AB play well in this system, I would not be surprised if we offer them contract friendly contracts after we trade them this summer, possibly just the vet min so they can join back the ride
They can be backup rotational PF/C's in this system, possibly 2nd/3rd options at the Center position
We can possibly offer a 2 year vet min to Jason Smith, with a player option for 2nd, then getting his early bird rights after another season in NYK
If Iman isn't traded, I think Phil Jackson would only give him a 3m-4m 2 year deal at best, unless he improves and plays very well which I doubt since we have Tim Hardaway JR still here at least and Tenacious at cheaper options, possibly offer JR Smith a 4 year 20m deal possibly look for JR Smith to play some PG as well
