I actually thought Shump was the second coming of Sprewell, atleast in his first season.

I did too, calling him

Ceiling being

mini Westbrook
Spreewell

and

low being a better Tony Allen

However, he isn't even close to Tony Allen though I think he can still develop his game/confidence

This should be the make or break season for Shump. Even a slow start can push him to the trading block.

I'm going to give him an early pass, base on woodson and his injury,

Yea I'm not worried about Shump. This is a much less toxic environment under Phil. And I think Phil loves what Shumpert brings. They will put him in a position to succeed with confidence

Hopefully Shump worked on his game this off season. If he yet again didn't do anything to improve then I'm gonna start to lose faith in the young fella.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Iman has a very sexy hot girlfriend with a banging body, supposingly helped Iman recover from his surgery, she was also Brandon Jenning's ex fiance at one point and is an up and coming hip hop artist

I really feel Woodson stunted Iman's development and we didn't get a "REAL VETERAN" to help him develop as he followed the likes of CA/JR Smith who aren't be best role models
Iman's injury and the change of systems really hurt his development, along with not having a defender to team up with him to apply presure as he did with

Lin
Fields
JJ
Chandler

even Novak played well

Iman was the focul point of our DEF, ironically with Dantoni, we used his ability to apply pressure on the opponents PG's and the rest of the team played the passing lanes with him
In Woodson's system he was playing SF or SG, knowing he needs to help the PG but also could be switched to a PF or Center
He needs to retrain with off the court drills as well as on the court drills, regaining that confidence/swagger that made Iman special as a "Rook"

"The Proffessor" once part of the And 1 tour with "Skip to My Lou" and Hot Sauce *who started it all*
I am not sure how much Jason Williams has influenced him but he sure can mimic "White Chocolate" who translated the streetball handle to the NBA, and is one of my all time favorite players along with The King's and Pacer's that never won a ring but were very exciting to watch and talented, playing TEAM BALL

I believe he understands how to translate the "street ball/entertainment" to NBA talents and should be part of our development staff as we need MULTIPLE ball handlers in the Triangle
Not many street ballers can actually teach and know how to translate their handles, however, he does, and I hope Phil Jackson recognizes this and adds some development staff like him, along with former players like

Billups/Rasheed Wallace/Ben Wallace, as well as some Greg Poppovich students, maybe Robert Horry like Kerr, played for Phil Jackson and Poppavich/Duncan, as well as with Hakeem and Rudy Tom
Some other former players include Ron Harper, Battier that I like

I really believe we need to stress the importance of having our assisistant coaches work with

our develpment coaches
trainers
nutritionist

all having an multiplied effect as well as the importance of their careers and abilities on the court
We are looking to build that winning culture and it starts from the bottom up, along with the willingness and hunger of our own players

In the triangle, with another year of guidance with veterans Calderon and Pablo

Would it be impossible for

2/3

Iman
JR Smith
Tim Hardaway JR

to play some PG and play less of a scoring role, playing the role player role, in other words playing OFF the ball of 2 other beside CA

For development staff
========================

It isn't going to happen overnight but having another year learning from Calderon/Pablo and addition to Ron Harper/Billups *as well as Shooting coach* as one of assistant/development coach *The Professor* as well

Horry/Rasheed Wallace as our PF/C development coaches

Battier/James Posey working as our G/F and DEFENSIVIVE development coaches

We have been missing structure and discipline ever since JVG left and moves like this would surely help identify roles and help development

Next year have Adekentenkpo go through some of the it as well, though having him play mainly as Iman's old role at SG and maybe some PG/SF
With one of the above, playing mainly SG, still needing them all to improve on the ability to facilitate, therefore making each other(our entire rotation/lineup/team) better

Regardless, I that those SG's must improve with their shot selection, efficiency, ability to play on and off the ball, and ability to facilititate and making others better, if they want to stay in the league succussfully
In any system, we need shooters, and both Tim Hardaway JR and JR Smith have shown they are capable of that, it is their shot selection, and mixing it in with other skills that is needed, in addition to DEF/REB
JR Smith was able to find the right mix for the most of his contract year, with Kidd prior to the Boston incident
While Iman struggled last season, he showed he was much improved while recovering from his knee surgery just 2 years ago
Iman is easily our best defender and could have a multiplied effect if with Adekenenpo, in addition to a LEGIT PF/C to back them up

If you actually watch the moves that "The Professor" builds on, it not only helps their handle but their overall play and deception
It illustrates the combination of use of counters, including pump/head fakes, spin moves, the jab step, step back, etc, all working together to improve the overall game to gain the first step and dictate what you want the opponent to do
He not only opens up the mind of the dribbles own abilities but the also the mind of your opponent defending you

And just throwing it out there, would OKC trade Perkins for Calderon and change, including a pair of picks, one 1st one 2nd

or

AB for Perkins and picks, maybe a swap of G's as well

I believe Jason won a ring with the Heat with Shaq and Wade. I remember him going off one game in the playoffs. However, for all that talent he was still a poor inefficient shooter but redeemed himself later in his career.

His highlights were awesome though and is one of my favorite former Gators.
