Yeah, I was expecting the strain to be a walking dead ripoff, it's its own show. FX really stepped it up this summer with the Strain and Fargo.

I tried watching Fargo but I could not get into it. Is it worth watching?

The Last Ship last episode with the cliffhanger was awesome. I can't wait for next summer.

The Strain just keeps getting better and better. Last episode with everyone trapped in the quickie mart with the vampires converging on them all was awesome. Can't wait to see more of "The Master" and find out more about him...And those vampire commandos or whatever...This show is sick. Immensely satisfying so far. Runs a few more episodes before wrapping up season 1. If it's gonna be a long layoff until season 2, I'll be getting the books for sure. Won't be able to hold out that long. Gonna need my Strain fix..LOL.

Man...I was excited about them. I can't wait to see what they are. Another breed of vampires?

Yeah, slow build up. That's a strange thing to say considering the amount of action that took place early on, but the show really spent a good amount of time on character development.
