Who would have fit on the Knicks better in 1992, Reggie Miller or Mitch Richmond?

I think Mitch because he had the potential to play better defense, could create his own shot, and would have been a great number two scoring option. I love Reggie, but he would need plays run for him.

What do you think?

We had the ghosts of Kiki and Rolando Blackmon shooting threes, which would have made Reggie a nice fit instead, but like you, I hate Reggie.
Starks and Gerald Wilkins weren't great shakes at threes during those seasons, either.

And beating Reggie in the playoffs with Mitch Richmond would have been much more enjoyable than actually watching that geek in a Knicks uni.

Outside of Ewing, who really had plays run for them on the Knicks? I would've went for Reggie because it would've ended the Pacers ability to beat us AND added a guy that could've better prevented teams from collapsing on Ewing.

Its not difficult to run screens for shooters while your big man is in the low post. We did it all the time with Starks. I would've gone with Reggie because of his big game ability, but what we really needed was a PG who could penetrate in the lane. We had no one who could break down a defense. Richmond was a sweet shooter but his game was like H20's. While Ewing was healthy we never really had a player who could break down the lane. By the time we got Sprewell it was too late.
