The NBA news for the Knicks is very quite so I thought of this to pass some time away.

1. When my daughter Wanda was born
2. I must say 1962 and 1963 this was the best fun years
3. The day my mother gave birth to me.

Awesome thread. Happiest days? Probably when I went on an Alaskan cruise with parents and brothers. Year? It's hard to say. I honestly find that the years tend to average out. I have up and down days but never an outstanding or awful year. Maybe if I meet the woman of my dreams it will make that year stand out!

Happiest days? That's a tough one. Happiest years were definitely around my college years, 2007-2011.

Happiest days were when my son 2005, and daughter 2013 were born. When my mother was announced cancer free after breast cancer. Family trip Jan 1994 in India. My nieces birth in 2000 and my Nephew's birth in 2002.

4. It involved a member of the opposite sex.
5. Best month: Took 3 weeks off in 2008 and traveled with my wife and kids to South America!

Tough to rank, but my favorites are:
1) Day my Daughter Lily was born
2) Day my wife and I got married
3) Honeymoon in Hawaii
4) Day I got into grad school/tie with the day I graduated grad school
5) Trip I took with my Dad to Japan over spring break freshman year in college
6) Trip I took with my Sister to Venice and Vienna when she was working in Europe

It's hard to pick a year, I have a mix of unhappy and generally happy years but I like to think my best are still ahead of me.

My favorite moments are definitely with family over the years, they may not be perfect but I couldn't imagine life without them.

If you never married, never had a kid, what really could qualify... getting a job you wanted? graduating something?

I couldn't tell you exactly but the happiest days would probably be some three-day weekend I spent with my then girlfriend in the late 90s.

She lived in NYU housing.

We hardly ever left the dorm except to eat.

Good times.

Dude, thus far bunking with your brother on trip with parents is your tippy top?

While not everyone is cut to be parents I suggest you try to break your ceiling.

Samba, I'd say pre marriage and kids there was a trip to disney as a kid, at 14 scoring 73 pts in a middle school game (that feeling you can't miss!!!!), then first encounters with a girl, then the real deal with a girl, the face contorting bliss when it all comes together, then getting the drivers license, then "that girlfriend" who took you on THAT journey, then you find the true love vs true lust, then the day you graduate college, the wedding, the honey moon, first house, couple of great trips to great places, that first nice NEW car and the new car smell, then the kids, and some nice business moments!!!!

In all I've been married 28 years, 32 all in and basically since 21 years old all the good non kid stuff has been with her!

Marriage is not for everyone but if you got that someone it sure makes it a wonderful ride!! Sounds corny as hell but thats just my story.

My point was he (and maybe you) should open his mind to the reality that not everyone wants kids or needs kids to be happy. My happiness is not dependent on children.

1 of my best days was the first day I was able to take a shower in the rehabilitation hospital after my car accident. I had been in hospitals for 2-3 months and just the feeling of the water washing over me was euphoric.

Wow, man, that's heavy. I can't say I've had any experience like that.

It's fantastic to me to see so many people saying the day their kid was born was the best day of their lives. We have our first baking in the oven right now, due in about three months. I've never been much of a kid guy myself, but if so many of you derelicts and hooligans can say that that was the best day of your lives, well I suppose it must be pretty special! Now, I'm REALLY excited!

and also the very first time i picked up the rock,

and it took it to the hole strong like toni kukoc,

that was the thrill of sport in its most awesome expression, a driving hoop in the lane on the first basketball possession of your life

3 more happiest days:

1. learning to ride bike, that was the first taste of speed and distance and first time you see that there is more beyond
2. learning to swim because now you can hold your own in water and not be afraid of death,
3. the day of my first squat, when the earth shuddered at the first signs of a beast animal
