Woj reporting Love will sign a 5 yr / 120mm extension. Cavs will give up Wiggins, Bennett and a protected 2015 no.1 pick. Great deal for the Cavs.

Love is a great #2 next to Lebron. IMO much better than Bosh. That team has more talent than the Mia teams. Yikes. Cle is a nice example of its better to be lucky than good. That franchise is a total wasteland except for Lebron landing in their lap. Twice.

he obviously is selfish, is right now counting his money and is laughing at the fans. I can tell you what he's NOT thinking about... winning. He could care less about that.

You mean it's better to be in the lottery than mediocre?

no, its better to have a guy who is the best player in the world and only wanst to play for your team then either one.

If someone would've told me that CLE would be in the position they are in now, 12 months ago, I would've thought you were insane. It's incredible how luck can change the fortunes of a franchise so drastically. Barring injury, the Cavs will be monsters.

...hopefully a little luck comes the Knicks way, with Melo locked up (for better or worse). I got my fingers crossed that Indiana has a fire-sale and we could acquire most, if not all of their vets for our yoots. If we do, we could theoretically challenge that Cavs team for top billing in the East.

What team with LeBron on it could be mediocre?

They wouldn't have been in this position if they were mediocre and couldn't fit Lebron under their cap and they don't get Kevin love without giving up #1 pick Andrew Wiggins

and the Heat gave up picks and will have Wade/Bosh leading them to 42 wins a year if their lucky for the next 4 years. And it was worth it... but if your a fan of that team is rough. Kind of how I feel right now about the Yankees. I have no reason to watch or follow after having season tickets for about a dozen years. At this point I dont even check the standings and barely follow the sport.

You said Cleveland got lucky. Not going to turn this relevant thread into a 17page Fishmike, TKF, Dk thread. Just pointing out that there's more to it than luck

True, Lottery is the common denominator in all of this

It also helps to have a player other players really want to play with.

Lebron's black book is very plentiful

How is this a great deal for the cavs, they essentially give up 3 first roundndrs, for 1 first rounder..great deal for mini

...because not all first round picks/first overall picks are considered equal. Would you be upset if a team had and gave up Andrea Bargnani, Greg Oden and filler for Kevin Love?
