That's including Thanasis, Early and Shannon.

Do we cut 2 guys or do we make a trade?

Shannon is gone. Hard to see him staying unless they feel they need him as a locker room practice guy. That might be possible...

Gone.

JR Smith. Amare Stoudemire if Uncle Phil has his way. Amare is a clumsy passer and a sieve on defense. The system puts a premium on passing ability.

Thanasis plays in White Plains at The County Center. Shannon Brown? Later dude.

expect the unexpected.

I think the actual number is 15, but there are many moves to be done. Tyler's contract becomes guaranteed in August 1, I believe. Shannon's isnt guaranteed, so Im sure he is out. Thanasis might not sign so he can play overseas.

We'll wee what happens.

I think he would like to dump jr smith but doesn't want to take on another bad contract. This is why I didnt want to resign JR despite winning the sixth man award. He is too unreliable for a multiyear deal.

I think if Phil can do something with Amare I think he will. I also think something happens with either JR or Shump. It sounds like Phil likes Pablo so he is probably staying.

I would say the most realistic trade away will be Ellington. However Phil has been noticeably quiet regarding Amar'e. Same with JR. Hasn't really mentioned Tyler either.

Players he has mentioned and seems to like:

Prigs
Bargs
Early
'Tenacious'
Tim Jr
Calderon
Melo
Larkin
Shump
Dalambert

Just signed Cole and Smith so they won'y be going anywhere

He has said he'd like to add tenacious defenders and also a backup SF to spell Melo.

I was thinking Ellington but I didn't know if he could be moved because the Knicks just got him. Phil referred to him as a salary filler so it doesn't sound like he is in the plans.

I think you can trade him, but not packaged with any other players until after 6 months or something.

Phil acknowledged wellington played under the triangle too and could provide help in that regard. That's why Shannon is around and in summer league.

Phil is very calculated. He even seems like he has been helping out friends like Kerr and Gasol get to places they want to be. After supposedly being called desperate by reporters he hits everyone in the head with what he really wants to do.... That's evidence by basically every move he's made so far.

So far he's been fantastic so I would not count him out of anything. He's been very candid in every interview so if something goes down we'll get a full explanation along with a course of action...I love this guy

Yeah Shannon and Thanasis are dangling.

Thanasis might be stashed in Europe. Brown looks like a goner. I know that Big Chief Triangle has talked about Dalembert but his ending contract and team option at that might make him a casualty. Jason Smith signing makes that move easier to make.

Same here. Everytime he gives an interview I am hanging on every word.

I know it's early in the PJax regime, but I don't know how much evidence we're going to need to see that the Dolanite illwind has actually changed.

He has not said a bad thing about anybody on his roster so far- and you will see nothing said in public. Not a good idea if you are thinking of trading someone.

I really believe he wants to move more people out than we think. Not sure if he has to see some training camp practices or games before he does something. Of course he needs some partners to make a deal.

I think he and Fisher are on the same page, and we should look at the SL team as a template for what they want to do. Think about the guys we have on the roster, and whether you can see them doing the things we have seen in SL so far.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

We will bring Shannon to camp because he knows the system and it gives him a chance to show off his skills to find a spot somewhere else.

Thanassis is probably a stash in Europe unless he he really impresses in camp.

Ellington is a bubble guy, but can shoot the ball so he's worth carrying on the roster. He may have value in a trade.

I wouldn't trade Larkin. I'm not super keen on keeping Pablo.

I would keep trying to develop Tyler. He has a good skill level for a guy his size. He needs coaching.
