That is great. I didn't see that player when I watched him. I think I read somewhere that the plan was for him to play a year in Europe and join the Knicks the following year.

Makes sense. Our roster is already mucked up and there's no need to bring in two rookies who play the same position. Let Thanos resume his reign of terror in Greece before he comes back.

I thought he was playing in the NBDL last year, not Greece.

I thought he was playing in the NBDL last year, not Greece.

He played in Greece, then played in the NBDL this year to be closer to his brother and improve his draft stock. I think the Knicks plan on sending him to Greece or somewhere else in Europe to stash.

Is it possible to stash players in the d league or do they have to be on payroll or the big league roster concurrently?

Look at some of the clips of his corner 3's. He has solid form with a good arch on his shot. The consistency will come- he does not have a broken jumper that needs "therapy."

If he can hit his jumpers and play the kind of D he seems to be able to play, he should be with the team this year, if he shows something in the Summer League and training camp.

When you see him interviewed you see that he is humble and understands the importance of working on his game. I was impressed by the fact that he actually thought before he answered questions, and did not give a typical "canned" answer.

Could be a breath of fresh air on the team if he has any kind of early success.

Shumpert had better up his game. You're looking at his replacement.
