LeBron, who is in second place and 12 shots back will likely pass Melo in Game 2 of the Finals. For now, Melo has the lead despite playing five fewer playoff games than LeBron and scoring 91 fewer points.
I wish I could find that video spoof of the Knicks where Woodson is telling Copelnd 'you don't shoot, Melo shoots'. Melo is going to have to change his rep of being a ball stopper if he wants to get a serious guy like Rose excited about the prospect of playing together.
if you were rose would you enjoy playing with a player like melo? you'd think seeing the spurs dominate would have opened they eyes of many many people.
and yet Mr. Defense always comes first Tom Thibs wants who? Melo. Who's the FA thats getting the red carpet rolled tonight at midnight? Oh yea... Melo. Keep up your crusade... maybe someone will listen.
Well that's because they have other pieces around that are better than the one dimensional scorer. It's not like he said there wouldn't be teams interested in Melo services next year. Its not like Tyson who doesn't like Melo respects his game enough to publicly say he will recruit Melo to the Mavs. Its not like Houston will trade away former Mr KNICK savior Lin, who is Mr. Team/ Smart/High IQ/humble pg. Thibs is just playcating to the fan base. He knows he doesn't want a player who allowed opponents to shoot 37.2% against him on his team. Can't coach him up at all.
To still a line from game of thrones... you know nothing fishmike.
I cant even tell if thats a serious post or not.
Lets deal with truth.
True or false:
The Mavs, Rockets, Bulls and Lakers are all ready to offer Melo a max contract.
True or false:
The Mavs, Rockets, Bulls and Lakers are all playoff teams looking to take the next level and compete for a title.
*** yea I know the Lakers, who are the best run org in sports missed the playoffs last year.
So I can say, without expressing my opinion, simply stating what is reality that the competitive market for Melo is a max contract and that market is being set by playoff teams, two of which have won titles under their current management in the last few years.
