1-Cavs-Lebron: No way
2 Darko
3-Nugs-Carmelo: No way
4-Raps-Bosh: No
5-Heat-Wade: No
6-Clips-Kaman: maybe
7-Bulls-Hinrich: No
8-Bucks-TJ Ford: Probably not
9-Knicks-Sweetney: No (can't picture Isiah doing that)
10-Wiz-Jarvis Hayes: Maybe
11-Warriors-Pietrus: Maybe
12-Sonics-Collison: Probably
13-Griz (traded to Celtics)-Banks: Yes

I think nearly all the teams are glad they didn't waste their lottery pick on a "project"

still too early to tell. Look at Indiana with Al Harrington and Bendor. Those two are still growing. T-Mac in his first years. Dude just needs time. This thread will be more relavant in a couple of years.

definitely too early to tell. Projects are projects. If Darko is allowed to develop and is willing to put in the effort, he can be a great player. The key to "projects" is patience. They are drafted on potential and time is needed to unlock that potential. Scrapping a project would be a dumb thing to do.

I wouldn't scrap projects. I just wouldn't draft them with one of the top lottery picks.

The upside on this guy was huge and Detroit has always been great with player development. Given those two things, it's hard to vote against Detroit. Detroit was already a strong team and they weren't in need of immediate help, so they built towards the future.
