Kidd made a play to become the Nets' president and coach and lost, source says. Owner Mikhail Prokhorov, according to one account, said no.

No shock here, but sense I get from plugged-in sources is that Kidd is probably finished w/Nets whether he lands another job or not

So Nyets fell he is not capable. It's never good when you are standing their and your assistant is coaching the team.

I pray to god this won't happen with Derek fisher. Difference is he has Phil to fall back on when the going gets tough. Much better scenario than Kidd. Kidd might turn out to be a good coach but he's not there yet. Pay your dues

Apparently a guy on realgm broke this story the other day on the nets forum.

I got inside sources in the Nets organization, and the word is Jason Kidd will get fired because he asked for a raise. Kidd also wanted the GM position, but the Russians told him no. Kidd will be the next coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, and possibly the GM too


The guy posts as Carl2680 and has only posted 8 times.
Realgm used to have some guys that had insider information about the Knicks back in the early 2000's. The guy I remember is Hellskitchen. Not sure if anyone on the KNicks board breaks trades/firings etc. over there anymore.

Also the Nets are discussing the coaching job with Mark Jackson, nothing official yet.

Wojo and Carl are not the only one who can do this.

Nets had been working w/ Kidd on roster changes he wanted - thru free agency, trades, sources tell Yahoo. He didn't want voice, but power.
