![]() Tyler has tons of potential and he's already pretty solid at the moment. Such an upgrade over Tyson. This guy brings the physical effort and energy, has a solid grasp of fundamentals, is athletic to make his ceiling pretty high, and is developing his offensive skills. How can you not like Jeremy?

![]() theres talk now about Gasol coming in...I can't see investing in that old bastard with Jeremy Tyler looking like he could be just as good if giving a shot.
Tyler is easier to move though, but I don't think we should do that. IMHO, Tyler is worth more to this team than Shump, yet fans are more connected and more willing to wait and see with Shump. No fans are even talking about Tyler Subscribe to my Podcast https://youtube.com/c/DiehardknicksPodcast

It's because Shump has more value at a position we're deep in. I like Tyler, but let's not forget he was free agent coming off an injury last season. Tyler's buzz will come when he contributes this season. Pau coming to the Knicks is unlikely. He already got rings. I have a feeling he wants his money. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

I think JR needs a year on this team to build his trade value. If he has a great year he will have alot of value as an expiring contract next year. Shump is not on the summer league roster so he is going to miss all of the triangle training all of our ither guards are going to get. I really don't see him on this team long term unless he is working this summer on understanding the new offense. If he is smart, |

Id like to get Gasol but if we cant it should just be an open comp IF we sign Aldrich back which I hope we do. Tyler needs PT but its a cut throat business. He needs to play hard and well consistently at this point to be counted on RIP Crushalot😞

![]() Tyler was a mixed bag. Can't knock his energy, but Im not sure if he is the answer. He has bounced around a lot, 9 teams here and abroad in 5 years. At some point soon Tyler is going to have to show some consistency and polish in his game or he will be headed back overseas. In the meantime I hope Phil is beating the brush for some front court help.

Gasol did miss 22 games last season but avged. 17 & 8 and did not like playing for MDA. If he can give you 70 games and those numbers you do it. Tyler? Maybe we are just a bit to wishful in our thinking? No doubt we like our yoots to grow up and root for them! If he fits the system then bring him back, if not, we moving forward. |

![]() Good video. I'm still high on Tyler, I was hoping the Knicks would find a way to bring him in ever since he declared for the draft. He tapered off a bit at the end of last season after an impressive winter, but he lost a bit of his opportunity with Amar'e reemerging and Cole taking more and more advantage of his auditions.
One of the few times the Knicks have had foresight enough to sign a prospect to a 2 year deal. Thank god (if only they did the same with Cole). Tyler always looks so fluid on the floor. He needs to fine tune some of those soft hooks or put backs that he was a bit too strong on last season, but he's always active. If Phil is able to bring in Pau, we obviously have a bit of a glut with bigs, but both STAT and Bargs are on huge expiring deals. Who knows what Phil may have planned at the deadline. Find the man some playing time. |

![]() Wonder if we will be hearing Bynum's name soon. Although his degenerative knees are a real wildcard, would be a low risk move.

![]() I feel like he would have broken out last year if it wasn't for Woodson the worst coach in the league. Tyler would come in and grab a few rebounds, block a shot, and hit a turn around j. But if he turned the ball over once after that he would pull him out and leave him on the bench. Woodson ruined his confidence over time. He was more afraid of making a mistake then playing his game by the end of the season.
This is what killed me about Woodson and his loyalty to bad veteran players who dogged it on him Though out the season. Example Tyler wasn't allowed to make a mistake in the game, Tyson would play half ass defense allowing players in the paint at will. Turn the ball over a lot. Not fight for rebounds or box out, blame other players for his ****ty play. Yet Woodson kept going to him like he was our best option at center... Jvg or any sensible coach would have benched chandler and given a talent like Tyler more pt through out the season, and demand the gm to rid themselves of the cancer called Tyson chandler. It would crack me up when Woodson would call Tyson our best defender, rebounder. Lol the guy averaged 7 rebounds a game and less then a block a game. I'm sooo glad we got rid of him I think Tyson is the most over rated player in the nba actually he's just a bad player. Tyler will get his chance to shine this next year. Our centers as of right now are Sammy, and Tyler... Tyler will be starting over Sammy at some point during the season Tyler is Just a better talent. Aldrich isn't going to be resigned and I don't see odom getting much pt. or even making the team. |

Yes is definitely wishful thinking. But this kid has shown slot in limited minutes. We've only had a piece of a season to see him so he deserves the wishful thinking and he should absolutely be held onto with the expectations that he could contribute big numbers. A dude like Shump had his chance yet he still has a following that wants him to be given yet another chance. Don't mean to be a buzz kill mentioning Shump, but the little bit of action Tyler has seen here has shown greater potential than Shump has in 3 seasons. If Pau comes I still expect Tyler to contribute if he's given a chance. Subscribe to my Podcast https://youtube.com/c/DiehardknicksPodcast
