I'm loving the direction this team is going and obvious changes in philosophy. Not crazy about the 51st and 57th picks. I think there were better fits at 51 and a better euro-stash player at 57. Some of those better fits went undrafted, so that can be made up for in the summer league invites and we have a D league team.

People bitching about the trade need to let it go. Phil has a clear vision and a genius bball mind. Adding Felton to the trade did ding Chandlers' value, but two 2nd round picks pretty much equals a 1st rounder. Jose C's contract is fine for the new system. Writers who say he is a slight upgrade over Fats, are nuts.

Phil has obviously only just begun the franchise transition, from repeat mistake offenders to team chemistry, winning mentality bball, and shrewd trade negotiators.

I will not be surprised if he moved others who whined or acted the fool and in doing so, moves an unmovable contract as we see he has done already. I also expect to see one or both of Gasol and Bynum in the mix now that we are under the cap. Notice the lack of big men and the surplus of sg/pgs? He already has replacement bigs in mind.

These are exciting times for our Knicks. Phil is not here to cash a check and tarnish his legacy. A Knicks championship is all that is left for us older and long time fans. Already seen my Giants, Rangers, & Yankees with their parades, but despite being a very young kid for the 70 & 73 rings, I just need that Knicks ring and I can live my life to the grave with a huge smile.

In Phil I Trust.

I agree about the 57th pick. I am warming up to the 51st pick. I really like Greek Freak so I made a point of watching a few of his brother's d league games and I must caught bad games because I wasn't that impressed. However, reading the comments about the kid's work ethic, character and defensive potential I have warmed up to it.

Even at the 51st pick, I think you draft overlooked 1st rd talent or raw player with home run potential or Euro stashers, than draft role player ceiling type athletes. I hope I'm wrong with this kid. Video of the 57th pick, looks like bball at the rec center, so not impressed. Inferior opponents, still gets bodied around with his rail frame. Except for the dunk, seemed weak to the basket or timid when defended. Nice blocks, but competition was a joke and hearing he can't hit free throws.

Early is the one that really concerns me. I haven't even looked up anything on our 57th honestly. Antetokoumpo seems pretty good for a late 2nd. He seems like he can really bring it defensively if he isn't overly aggressive and doesn't get into foul trouble. Early just has too many major flaws. Poor shot selection, streak shooter, no court vision, bad passer, and no defense. I'm sorry, but I hate the pick. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
