Martin, I think you should limit this forum to people that know what they are talking about. Some people know nothing about basketball or the Knicks and clutter this board. Look at sonsofsamhorn.com, a Red Sox forum. That is probably the best messageboard i have ever seen and everyone there is very intelligent and knows a lot about baseball and the Red Sox. There are not stupid posts there.

playa can be a pest at times, but he is cool, we go back a ways and he loves the knicks, that is important...Let him back in..

the worst, absolute worst things about these boards is the banning of posters. realgm is like a meeting between neocoms where likeminded individuals just spout nonsense to likeminded nonsensical nonsense mongers who just agree like a bunch of drooling morons and as soon as someone disagrees, they whine like bitches to the moderator demanding someone gets banned. its too bad-- they're sister cite draftcity as a site is fantastic. i can't imagine anyone on the knicks board has anything remotely to do with it. those mods represent everything that America isn't and the internet shouldn't be. their tactics and lack of interest in free speech are totalitarian. don't be like them.

while i often (but not all the time) disagree with playa's post on all the boards, the idea of banning him, just because you disagree with him or don't like the way he defends himself from all the mindless attacks is grotesque.

He is certainly no worse than a number of others. As has previously been stated, he like like other posters should be limited to one posting name. I don't know if you are automatically equipped to determine ip addresses but if youare then that could be a means to limit abuses.

let him back ONLY if he agrees to respect other people's opinion. i thought playa was harmless compared to other posters who start to insult and circumvent the profanity ban. they are the ones you should ban. playa has been here for two or three years and he always have something interesting. i disagreed with him 90% of the time but he was interesting.

Wasnt he banned for using multiple handles? That was the retarded part. He was already given a second chance, and messed up again. No thanks. Multiple handles for the same person is the worst for any forum.

Reason to not let Playa back in:

2. Dude was a jerk...
3. I am sure he is already in here under another nick already, so why open up another avenue of persistent nonesense and malcontent posts.

I definitely feel that playa should be reinstated. Regardless of his positivity/negativity about any given topics, he seems like a legit fan first and foremost.

I don't recall the exact reasons why he was cut off. Was he antagonizing other users-- did his threads end with name calling and what not?

If he wants to be part of ultimateknicks again, I say let him return--- perhaps with just a warning to make some effort to calm down a tad in the most heated threads.

This is a fan board... and without the fans, there is nothing.
