He is a 4 year player, had an off senior year much better Jr. Year. He has court awareness a good passing big. Has good touch for a big man has range on jumper. Would be a nice pickup if Knicks can get a pick.

His combine numbers look solid and Stanford runs the triangle, so his learning curve shouldn't be as big. We should definitely sign him for summer league.

Great find. He might be better in the pros. He has alot of fluid skill. Full offensive repertoire. Nice athleticism. Hard to believe he a talent like this going in the second or being undrafted. The you see his college stats.... weird. His 3 assist per game jumps out at me though.

Johnny O’Bryant, Semaj Christon, Akil Mitchell, DeAndre Kane at Knicks’ Workout

LSU center Johnny O’Bryant was among those who worked out with Knicks President Phil Jackson on Saturday.

Virginia forward Akil Mitchell, Iowa State guard DeAndre Kane and Xavier point guard Semaj Christon were also at the workout, O’Bryant said.

The Knicks continue to work out prospects despite not owning a pick in the June 26 NBA Draft. Jackson hopes to potentially obtain a pick via trade or purchase. The Knicks have not made any of their workout targets available to the media in a group.

“It was cool, man,” the 6-foot-9, 255-pound O’Bryant told SNY.tv and The Knicks Blog by phone. “Got a chance to learn about the triangle offense and Phil taught us some things. It was one of the more unique workouts.”

Asked what they worked on, O’Bryant said, “Most importantly, just spacing. Good spacing, showing guys where to be. Just what type of things you can read off the pick-and-roll.”

O’Bryant, projected as the No. 41 pick in the Draft by DraftExpress.com, averaged 15.4 points and 7.7 rebounds as a junior at Louisiana State.

“I think I would bring a post presence, man,” he said. “I’m very versatile, can do a lot of things. And I think if I continue to get in NBA shape and learn the NBA game, I can bring a pretty good post presence to the New York Knicks. I know Amar’e [Stoudemire] and Tyson [Chandler] are great post players, just come in and learn from those guys.”

O’Bryant will work out for the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Kane, a dynamic 6-4 scorer, averaged 17.1 points and 6.8 rebounds at Iowa State, which lost to eventual NCAA champion UConn in the Sweet 16 at Madison Square Garden.

Christon, a 6-3 point guard, averaged 17.0 points and 4.2 assists at Xavier. Assuming the Knicks deal Raymond Felton, they would be in the market for a young floor general.

Mitchell, a 6-8 forward, averaged 6.8 points and 7.0 rebounds, at Virginia.

The Knicks on Friday also worked out 6-9 Florida big man Patric Young, who averaged 11.0 points and 6.2 rebounds for the Gators, who lost to UConn in the Final Four.

“I could see myself being a Dale Davis or a Ben Wallace type player right now for them,” Young told ESPNNewYork.com. “They already have Tyson Chandler at the five spot. But if I can come in and bring some energy to the team and bring some good minutes, play some good defense and rebounds — that’s the role I like to play.”

I am really hoping we can get DeAndre Kane *Ron Harper development*, Backnaski *Brian William role", and Dwight Powell *extremely talented and real steal*, as STEALS from mid/late 2nd rounders to undrafted
In addition to steals, including Corey Jefferson, Kendall Williams, and Alec Brown
As for Spencer Dwinwiddie, Burton, KC McDaniels/Deandre Daniels, I don't see them falling off their projected late 1st rounders to early 2nd rounders
I like all talents but with no picks, I would concentrate more on STEALS for value, unless we somehow get some major assets in trading our players in this draft/future picks

If we can get a high/mid 1st rounders/likely in trade from CA, Chandler, Iman or/and our SG's in JR Smith, Tim Hardaway, getting Adreine Payne *though I really like Powell as a steal*
If we do move Iman for OKC's pick, I would rather trade down with Philly for multiple 2nd rounders, and purchase picks with 3m incentives, unless Payne drops though I feel with this list we can really get more value with all these possible steals with more picks

MORE IS BETTER in this deep draft, unless it is a top 3 - 10 pick
We need a lot of talented young players that are hungry and willing to learn/improve together to change this culture
While getting them on the cheap contracts, preserving cap space/flexibility to attract a 2-3 ALL STAR combo in 2015 and possibly 2016 *with Durant/Noah*
Having the Kawaii Leanard type players/talent to attract/compliment ALL STAR's all on cheap deals

shouldn't be having off years sr year vs jr year, that's a sloppy fall off in a period where guys should be progressing by the gallon
