Congrats THJ! I hope you're still on the team next season.

Tim Hardaway Jr. has been named to the NBA’s All-Rookie first team. He averaged 10.2 ppg and shot .363 from distance and posted double-digit scoring games 40 times even though he came off the bench in all but one of 81 game appearences.

Several teams tried to procure Hardaway Jr. from the Knicks during the trade deadline, but he was deemed untouchable by the team’s front office. So it’s fair to assume he has a secure, bright future with the team. He is one of the Knicks who impressed Phil Jackson while Jackson was studying the team and mulling over the job as team president, according to a source.

Pretty much the only bright spot. I doubt Phil would trade him considering we have no draft picks and we need some talented youth for a change

the most exciting part of THJ is (1) that he a 6'6" pure SG and (2) there are very few good, young, pure SGs in the game today

Now if he could add some steals and defensive boards or just hold his man to a low percentage - that would be peachy

Hes got such a nice quick smooth release. Just run him off screens all day like Reggie Miller and Houston. Hes a weapon. Totally inconsistent so its hard to label him a sure thing of anything but damn if you cant see the talent with your own two eyes your blind. He's got the raw stuff you need to be bigtime

That's awesome. With our draft history (as other posters have catalogued) , its great to see a pick exceed most fans expectations. THJ still needs to drive more and shoot less 3s, but I'm very encouraged with what I saw last season. I'm sure he knows Phil will demand better defense, from him and his teammates.

He was extremely efficient for a rookie guard.

What I would like to see from him is much better defense and more assists.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Yeah, 0.8 assists per game doesn't cut it but it was a solid rookie campaign. I'm hopeful he'll improve next season.

He really can't do anything well other then shoot, at then end of the day he may just turn out to be kyle krover type sg, but more of an athlete.

Yup, didn't know it was that bad. Add it to the list.
