In a year the knicks pick will statistically be the 12th pick, it will instead be used by either Denver or Orlando as the final installment of the payment due to Denver for the Melo trade.

Ironic Melo could walk leaving the Knicks with no compensation just a few weeks after this pick is exercised.

Ramifications of the lakers pick could be the very driver to set the tone for a host of trades or free agent signings.
The higher the lakers pick gets, the more valuable that asset gets. That could go a long way to get Kevin Love.

The top 10 is filled with the usual suspects of late except the Lakers:


1 Milwaukee Bucks 25.0%

2 Philadelphia 76ers 19.9%

3 Orlando Magic 15.6%

4 Utah Jazz 11.9%

5 Boston Celtics 8.8%

6 Los Angeles Lakers 6.3%

7 Sacramento Kings 3.6%

8 Detroit Pistons 3.5%

9 Cleveland Cavaliers 1.7%

10 New Orleans Pelicans 1.1%

11 Denver Nuggets 0.8%

12 New York Knicks0.7%

13 Minnesota Timberwolves 0.6%

14 Phoenix Suns 0.5%


Then there is this to consider:

Lakers are a player in this years draft and will drive trade activity. The pick, either used or traded is a major asset!

bucks have the highest shot at #1, but considering they have a new ownership group, it's all but guaranteed.

Magic have their pick and likley the #11.

Its funny how we read the top seed has the best odds but 75% chance they don't get it!
Could be a big moment in Bucks franchise. 1968 Draft had them winning a coin toss with PHX for the no. 1 pick!

They took Lou Alcinder and PHX took Neal Walk!!! Neal was a beast in College, not so in the NBA.

NY Nets Tried to sign Kareem and keep him in NY. ABA would have pooled together and payed him. They offered him more money but much of it deffered and league was too unsettled. Maybe if the Coliseaum was built they might have had a shot. Might have accelerated the Merger if he played for Nets.

Bucks with new owner, and trying to get a new building really need to catch a break here. Like DJ said, its all but assured!

Jabari? Wiggens? Embid? If Philly gets Jabari they will have a nice core if Norlens develops.

If I'me the Bucks and get the 1st pick I would choose Wiggens to pair with the "Greek Freak".

Also, LA doesn't have the cap room to trade their 1st for a FA, according to Larry Coon. They would have to wait until after the draft.

They can make the pick in a prefabricated deal for another team. Free agency isn't until July. Thats when Pau's contract falls off.

Gonna be an interesting summer!

Philly has a nice draft future for the next couple of years. I would have to end up working in a suburb of Sixersland.

I hope the Knuggets get the #1 pick. Hopefully this will teach Dolan to be mindful of 1st round picks.

1.7% chance. That's what CLE had! Wow. Just wow. For some reason this is rely bothering me. I have no idea why, LOL.
