If thet Nets were able to trade for Joe Johnson (20m+)

and

resign Gereld Wallace (4yearr 10m deal), Kris Humphries(2 year 12m, Brook Lopez (max), theln use MLE on Teletevic

then in theory can the Miami Heat sign multiple players/ALL STARs either this year or next summer whenever Lebron, Wade, and Bosh opt out with Haslem having a player optiom himself, Chalmers/Ray Allen/Battier/ Greg Oden/ Rashard Lewis/TD/James Jones deals ending this summer, and basically no one in a contract that makes signifigant money from Norris Cole, Birdman, Justin Hamiltion, their own 1st rounder this summer and 2nd rounder (to use in a trade or draft), their 2nd round steal last summer that has not signed with the team yet, the 3.2m to use in trades/buy picks, and addition to their Mini MLE

If so, their are endless possibilities are endless to continue to improve their roster
to both sign UFA's (CA, Trevor Ariza, Rudy Gay if he opts out) and trade for another like Bledsoe/Kevin Love
While owning the bird rights or early bird rights to resign the players above

While the BIG 3 can opt out this summer or next summer with all the UFA's available

Unless only because Lopez was a player coming out of his rookie deal and/or teams that are over the APRON tax for multiple years are unable to do this

But if not, it will be hard to build any team to contend on that level, especially for the NYK's
Also with the STATE tax, Warm Weather, and dynasty to contend for a ring, could bring in complete steals for the vet min on top of the MINI MLE to use as well

# Endless possibilities for a dynasty

No, the Heat can't do that. When a team has a player's Bird rights that creates a cap hold based on the player's last salary. For salary cap purposes a cap hold is the same as a contract and teams don't have access to that money unless they waive that player's Bird rights.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

I think Monta Ellis was always very talented and has finally been put in a team that fits his skills despite an old Dirk
It depends on price and for 8m I think Ellis was a great sign and under rated for his contract

Now on Rudy Gay, for his 18m+ contract, no I am not interested but if JR Smith could be coach and improved the way he did along with Jamal Crawford did as they got older, I see a possibility for Gay to achieve similar results
His physical abilities with size, length, athleticism, allow him to play SG, SF, and some PF, and is very comparable in terms of physical abilities to the top 3 pick of this draft in Andrew Wiggins than Durant/Lebron
In the end, it is the price tag, in addition to the team that he is added to with the players/skillsets and how the coach utilizes him with the system, in addition to his own development, willingness to improve, and sacrifice to play BOTH ENDS of the floor
His physical abilities allow him to be a 2 way player and he has to improve on his DEF and EFFICIENCY
I would much rather have Gay at 10-12m per year than CA at 24-30m per year

Now I believe I have an eye for talent and I am willing to make bold statements that not many would here
My boldest statement would actually be for Darko Milicic for the vet min 2 year deal (team option or partial guarantees)
Especially for the Triangle and The Knicks
Despite his lack of success in the NBA, he is still quite young with much mileage left in him, along with untapped potential
He is a skilled Center, with the ability to post up in deep/mid position, pass for a big, along with a solid 17foot jumper, and the ability to rebound/protect the paint/ block shots, and has good foot work, mobility, and all round skills

I also love James Johnson as a rotation player and with the ability to start as a SF/PF
A few other unproven talents include Jordan Hendricks (ex Houston summer invite)
Chris Johnson (ex Twolve) and Greg Stimensa are some other shot blockers

A previous undrafted player I love his Jamalle Haggins, who I see as a a SF/PF, comparable with Trevor Booker/Kmart

For this draft, I believe DeAndre Kane would be a complete steal, along with Bachynski, Burton, and some other players I have posted in many other threads

I love finding VALUE, finding underdogs, jnd determinmy ranks
However, in the end, it is just my own opinion and my evulation of talents

Lebron/Durant (class of their own)

Paul George (undoubtfully the #3 SF that has the skills of a SG and ability to play PF on BOTH ENDS)

Then there is the rest, depending on what you are looking for, FIT for team with the players in it, and system/coach/philosophy
In no specific order, these players have the ability to play at least 2 positions, and many have the ability to play 3

Battum (best defender after the above and is extremely versatile and talented)

CA
Rudy Gay

Klay Thompson/Chandler Parsons/DeRoZan

Thad Young, Wilson Chandler, Jeff Green, Gallo

Jimmy Butler, Iggy
Trevor Ariza, Kawaii Leanord, Derozan/Klay Thompson probably more comparable here because he can mainly play the SG/SF but is comparable to Chandler Parsons

Marion (despite his age one of the better versatile SF's of the past decade that can defend muliple positions and is a great help defender/rebounder)

We have been missing this type of talent to pair with CA and such talents do not come for the Mini MLE

just missing the list, some of which might deserve to be on it, in no order

The Greak Freak
Matt Barnes

Harrison Barnes
Draymond Green
MKG

Kyle Korver/JR Smith

Tony Allen/Sefelosha
Gereld Green

Pierce/Joe Johnson (younger years)

(Tony Sneil has the physical abilities to be comparable with Kawaii Leanord but lets give him another 1-2years before we see)

Lolz, at least you didn't try and spell Antetokounmpo and went with "Greak Freak" instead.

I agree with you that we need a versatile player tho. I still miss Ill Wil.

Yes, I like Wilson Chandler, I like Trevor Ariza even more, and I still like MosGoV
If we had these players with Iman Shumpert's DEF, with a better coach, I think they would all fit together
Even enhancing Tyson Chandler's ability with multiple defenders on the floor with him together for a good FIT/CHEMISTRY

Instead we had MWP and 2 SG's, in addition to an Melo at the 3/4
Kmart was our glue and best F defender as a help defender, a key reason why we were lost without him, as we struggled in addition to our injuries and Woodson's coaching flaws

For solid TEAM DEF, you need good TEAM DEFENDERS and 1v1 DEFENDERS, you cannot play good DEF much less GREAT DEF with one or 2 defenders, while virtually the entire roster are mismatches and unable to defend their own positions, much less help
Woodson schemes suck but so does our roster's DEF, as they continue to grow older
We had 3 PG's that could not defend a backup PG, nevermind a starter

JR Smith was a very good rebounder and decent defender prior to his injury, in addition to his much improved ability to penetrate/finish/facilitate similar but not as good as a Lance Stephenson is to The Pacer's
However, in a contract year, he has the time to get back in top NBA shape to regain some speed/quickness/ability to push the tempo/rebound/defend etc...

However, both Felton and Pablo at their respective ages are unlikely to get better, only get worse with their age
Felton entered the league as a quick/fast/strong/tough scoring combo guard, as he got older, he loss his physical abilities and it has shown the past couple years with his lack of ability to create/facilitate/lead and defend (especially get through screens)
His physical abilities was able to hide his weakness's when he was younger, a reason why Donnie Walsh gave him a 2 year deal, while knowing playing for Dantoni would be able to sell him high after we missed out on the Lebron Sweepstakes
As we know it, he eventually was part he of CA trade, and was traded to Portland for a 1st rounder and Andre Miller
We got him back, but it cost us a 2nd rounder + a good pick in one of the best Euro G/F's in "Koustos Pap"

Ironically, I like Deanto Burton, who is a younger Felton on STEROIDs with the physical abilities/athleticism/strength in this draft as a early 2nd rounder, possibly even late 1st round talent

Anyone else believe Darko Milic, James Johnson, Jamelle Hagins, and/or Chris Johnson/Stimensa/Jordan Hendricks could be solid pick ups for the VET MIN, with possible 2 years deals, with team options/partial guarantees if needed, and fully guaranteed for the young veterans like James Johnson

i believe i have an eye for talent as well. but i also believe that productivity also depends on "HEART" and the "right situation" as well as talent.

I'll go down your list of candidates:

1. Darko - NOPE! he may be talented (i dont agree) but hes been in the league too long and in so many systems that its safe to assume that he doesnt have the HEART and that there is no right situation for him

2. James johnson - is a steal. hes an athletic wing who can defend. THATS IT. is he worth making a huge fuss over? yeah if youre a contender but not if youre a bad team like the knicks

3. J.Hagins - nice story from deleware. sure why not? lol (shrugs shoulders)

ok im done...the rest are scrubs and we know it. I think the knicks should focus on shredding salaries (without jeopardizing the future), acquiring draft picks, learning the triangle and even consider TANKING to get a good 1st rd draft pick in 2015. There are just TOO many holes to think about fixing the a team with no cap space

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Memphis didn't even feel the need to play Johnson and all they have is two players on the way out.

I'd much rather chop off one of my testicles than give Rudy Gay even a 10 day contract. That guy is a cancer.
