Right now we're projected to have #11 pending the lottery.

Doug McDermott, Tyler Ennis, Zach Lavine are some guys that project to be there at #11

Ennis or Kyle Anderson. Anderson would probably be a Phil Jackson pick because he is tailor made for Phil's system.

Phil Jackson has been in the room and actively involved during the New York Knicks' interviews with draft prospects.

Dario Saric. I think the guy will be what Hedo Turkoglu was during his Orlando year's aka a ****ing baller. We need a point-forward to run the triangle well and I personally see him being able to fit in Toni Kukoc's role, well.

McDermott will be a bust. I'm on the fence about Lavine. He reminds me too much of Gerald Green: the younger years. I've got really good vibes about Ennis but I see him hovering around that 16th-19th pick, which qualifies him as being "a reach".

Anderson is fat and slow. I don't think too highly of him but I could see him making it in the league, ala Boris Diaw.

McDermott and Kyle Anderson are probably two of the most controversial players in the draft. I like McDermott's chances because he is a pure shooter and he can move without the ball. People make Adam Morrison comparisons, but McDermott was a way better shooter in college than Morrison. He'll find a way, even if it's as scorer coming of the bench. I think it will take Kyle a few years to find a niche. I see him as versatile power forward type. I could see him being an awesome fit on the Thunder in lineup where Serge is playing center.
As for my theoretical Knicks draft pick, I think I'd choose Elfrid Payton. He really gets after it on defense and I think his J will come along with more reps.

Yeah, the kid definitely needs to work on his body. I'm talking Jamal Mashburn type transformation. Oliver Miller and Luke Walton wre good passers too, but that can only take you so far.

I'm not sure Doug McDermott will be a star . . . and I'm not sure he's worth a top 10, maybe top 15 pick, but I think he's a fairly safe bet (as the draft goes) to be a rotation player on a good team.

If you can't defend a position, it limits a player to bench duty unless they can be an otherworldly scorer, which I don't see in McDermott. I don't think a player like that is going to be worth a lottery pick but that is just my opinion.

And I like Payton a lot but I'm skeptical of his abilities to play in the triangle. He's not a consistent enough shooter and is pretty ball dominant.
