Assuming Melo ops out, the Bulls could trade him for Melo along with someone else to match everything up....

I have no interest in Boozer, unless he's accompanied by Jimmy Butler and multiple draft picks.
I'd rather let Melo walk - we actually own our 1st next year, right?

Booz is so bad they never play him in the 4th unless they are forced to by fouls or injuries. Noah could not cover for Booz in the last game. You think Wiz get all those tapouts with Taj in for Booz?

we need to bring in winners in order to create a winning culture.
we need to get rid of the losers we have in order to create a winning culture.
we need to resuscitate the players we have who have not yet been ruined.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

IF I know Carmelo does not want to coem back here and he wants to go to the BUllS.. I would do

Carmelo for Boozer AND picks 16,19,49 and 2016 #1. Three number 1's and a 2. Ill do that. It would give us 5 draft picks and we'd still have free agency in 2015. On top pf which we can certainly be better next year almost regardless. This would give us significant opportunity.

Then we trade Chandler and we could simply have a new team picked by Phil and Steve for 2015. That would be 4-5 picks and 2-3 major free agents.

Boozer pulls his own disappearing acts, pass. Him and Chandler together wouldnt be a good idea IMO.

I'd take back Boozer in a deal, assuming with get back the plethora of picks that Briggs is suggesting. I think he could easily be flipped before July 1st to Houston for Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik. Yes, we'd be getting the better value in return BUT Houston would be saving $16 million of the $30 million that Lin and Asik will earn after July 1st.

Whats 19mil worth to Bulls? Owner likley won't eat it and give Melo 19mil. Thats 38mil for someone not named Jordan or Lebron.

Booze is not the prize, he is the price.

Now they got to make it worth our while.
They got a EUro hot shot stashed. IF Phil wants him, put him in. They want Butler, put it in. Give us a No.1 pick now, and 16? Put it in.

Don't matter what I think or want, its what the market will bare. Phils problem.

if they amnesty boozer they can sign Melo for 19 per without any trade. Would that not be the smartest move for him so that he does not deplete his team again?

But Lebron already left. That deal was done after the fact. Gave Lebron a bit more money and Cleveland got something. CLEV didn't take back no 19 mil in salary!

If Melo don't want to make that mistake, then he don't have to.

Bulls would stil have their core in tact. What was our core? Billups and soon to need a wheelchair Amare!

Bulls go into win the phuch now mode, not 2 shyts and phuch about draft picks. If they do, then they don't take on Melo.

Well the same could easily happen here. I think Dolan would look at it as, Boozer helps more than just a free roster space/league min guy, and it's not like we'd have cap space anyway. He's also an expiring contract, which we used to salivate over here!
