If you look back at the Bulls--one thing that stands out---the teams are huge. There are NO players under 6-3 and with the Lakers minutes De4rek Fischer no short players . There are multiple players over 6-8 on both the Bulls and the Lakers each team having 3 7 footers at a time.

So I expect us to start moving i8n that direction--I do not see Ray Felton staying here I do not see us acquiring any players below 6-2 at a minimum

I keep thinking that Shaun Livingston is the perfect PG for Jackson. Don't know how we can swing that though unless it's a trade. Devin Harris as a cheaper substitute maybe? Don't know if Murray is ready yet.

You mean no more small lineups. We just disappointed a lot of teams. Namely Indy and Memphis

Other characteristic that they all had was the best players in the league on his team plus at least two superstars on each team.

Steve Kerr, BJ Armstrong, Craig Hodges, Derek Fisher, Tyron Lue, Lindsey Hunter...I think the size thing had more to do with the era where big men generally ruled...Not that many big men to go around today...

Serious? Ready yet? This guy isn't ever a starting NBA pg, probably would be lucky to be a bench player.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

I think the Knicks will be interested in big men in the 2nd round of the draft.

Bachyinski is 7- 2 255 and he can play
Stokes is 6-8 260 and he can play--remember Jason Caffey
Deandre Kane is a big PG

that type of player for thre secondary player as in players 14-15 most likely

What will we get from the NBA? Well forget about guys like Patty Mils or Collison- they are way to small.

My bet is they try to go out of their way to get Pau Gasol and Tyreke Evans. Pau through S+T and Tyreke using Chandler as a trade chip. If we were able to acquire Gasol and Evans--man I would really hope Melo stays on.

Those are the players I m looking at. 2 big players in the draft or undrafted for the bench two big players from the NBA---thats 4 new add in Odom that is 5. Maybe we add in a Shaun Livingston type for the MLE but make no mistake--this team is going big.

Yes, I think it's clear Murray is nothing more than a 3rd stringer.

Ill give us a possible scenario offseason

Tyson Chandler to New Orleans for Tyreke Evans straight up

Resign Cole Aldrich 3 years 6 mm

Trade Kenyon Martin Jeremy Tyler Toure Murry and a restricted #1 to the La Lakers for Pau Gasol to a 3 year 21mm$ deal

Buy a 2nd round pick in the 40's and grab Bachynski and grab Cameron Bairstow as an undrafted PF thats 7-2 250 and 6-9 255+

Hopefully resign Melo

Thats 14 I believe

C-Pau Gasol

Murry actually only needs to continue to improve his jumper. He's already capable of defending and running the very simple PG duties that the Triangle entails. Triangle offense doesn't require a pure PG. At 6-5 and long Murry fits nearly perfectly into that role. Don't know how Phil feels about him but he fits the physical requirements.

I'm not even going into why I don't like these trades. We can't get Gasol in a sign-and-trade because we're over the luxury tax apron. We need to cut between $15M and $20M plus whatever salary Gasol receives from in order to do a sign and trade.

The PG has to be able to shoot. BJ, Kerr, Paxson, Harper, Fisher they all could shoot. Murry I don't know if he can shoot that well. Also look for the Knicks to add a player like Mayo or something to play PG.

I like Livingston. I thought the Nets would be in a spot and have to choose Blatche or Shaun. After reading that the Knicks have KMart's early bird rights, I know it is the same for the Nets and Blatche. Harris is an intriguing name.

Briggs- I will officially become a Net fan if we trade for Pau Gasol!

Everything is determined by Melo- resign him, then it makes a sense to gamble on a Tyreke Evans type trade.

I'd like to think there is going to be some sense around building vs. glue and tape- meaning if we lose Melo, you don't see a Tyreke Evans type trade - where you trade an ending contract for a longer term contract.

Well that would be a pretty interesting line up that would be difficult to match up with.

I don't wanna start a new thread so I will put this in here.

What do you guys think of a trade of Jr Smith for MKG of the Bobcats in the offseason? Cats need more capable scorers, MKG is a good defensive player who rebounds really well, doesn't have a good offensive game though. He has a Team Option 2015 and could free us of 5mil if he doesn't pan out.

Livingston can't shoot and isn't adept at moving without the ball. He'd have the same problems that Gary Payton had in running the system.
