Maybe a late first rounder early second .... He's been really exposed this year for taking plays off ... As well as cry baby issues/personal leave and injuries ...

No...he's not worth anything of value. Him and JR are my least favorite Knicks of all time. Most overrated DPOY winner in history. He stinks.

He's done this before- stunk for the bobcats then magically performed in his contract year. Hopefully teams remember that- he's a useful player to a contender and an expiring, so I hope we can get something reasonable.

He's definitly worth a 1st pick..look at it like this , there isn't a single player in last yrs draft that i would play before tyson (at his position)

Also it depends on the role you give tyson or any player for the matter in weather his value increases.

The issue that some of you have is you like to build teams with all talent. Like the suns pairing Shaq and Amare up amd thinking they had the best front court ever when in fact they went from a western power house to a avg 46 win team after the trade.

Its hard for tyson to fit in anywhere cause he has no style of play (weather half court on a running team), but if you give him a bright high IQ pg, he's value will sky rocket

He is an easy first round pick to the RIGHT team. Unfortunately those types of teams will have lower picks (e.g. OKC).
We might luck out with a team with multiple firsts looking to pick up talent and save money multiple first would cost.
They might take Tyson if under the cap enough to have a more veteran team. A team like Phoenix, if they needed a center.

if season ended today OKC would have picks 21 and 29. I would think we could give them Tyson for Perkins and those picks. Kick back some cash. Makes OKC much better. They dont need scoring and they pair Ibaka/Tyson and thats a nasty frontline when you have KD and Westbrook jacking the shots.

What do you see as Tyson's production? Picks 25 to 30 are usually deep bench players. Maybe 5 to 8 mpg players. Once you get to the middle of the 1st round, you're talking solid role players - somewhere between a 4th and a 6th man.

I actually think that he's worth 3 if we move him to the Thunder for Perkins, both their 2014 picks and a future protected pick. At this point, they've got more than enough youth and would probably be more interested in upgrading their core players. Perkins is obviously the weak link in the chain and I believe that Chandler would be a sizable upgrade over him. Considering that the Thunder were willing to deal one of their first round picks in this draft for Iman Shumpert, I don't think they'd have a problem in surrendering both for Chandler. I think that the hang up would be around the future pick.

I had the same idea but hate the idea of giving them cash. What for? We're taking back the worse of the two players. The only way I'd consider it is if there were a future pick involved as well.

This draft is a unique one. Unless its a money deal Im starting to highly doubt Chandler's value in this draft.

In 2015 we are going to need role players who can contribute right off the bat. We should trade Chandler for a more serviceable big than Perkins or a player who can help us out at PG.

Perkins holds the NBA record for one of the worst playoff performances in NBA history, not just one game. Love, Melo, whoever Jackson signs is going to need teammates who will have their backs, teammates with playoff experience. We have very little of that from our role players, and we wouldn't get that from draft picks.

I haven't been happy with his effort, but Tyson really isn't the problem. You don't go from championship center with Mavs to defensive player of the year to garbage....I actually think with a better back court, or at least one that could play some D, Tyson is actually the right player for this Knicks team. On a team of shoot first guys, you need some people who will play defense. I'm not sure how much he's been hurt or just lack of effort, but that's been everyone this year except Melo.

If we adopt the triangle, then he may need to go because he would need at minimum todevelop some sort of jump hook or short range jump shot.

If I'm another team I'm looking at drafting another mason Plumlee on the cheap. Why Tyson?

Chandler is really good but he is just sad because he does all the work. If he was on a team that appreciated him and was a contender he would play better. Teams probably know this and will pay his true value if he is shopped.

I think you look for the best deal but I don't see him as worth much at this point. At the trade deadline there were reports that teams were interested in him so you have to hope that the Knicks don't just move him to get him out the door. I do think his name needs to be right up towards the top of guys that you move out if you can.

As in his ability to recoup draft picks?

You can if you're approaching your mid-30's and your athleticism is a big part of your game (see Gary Payton). I was adamant about trading Tyson from last offseason after his dismal performance against Hibbert. His value is expected to take another big dip now that the pick and roll will be de-emphasized(the triangle doesn't utilize this option much, if at all).

Yeah, hopefully trade him to the suns for that disappointing center they picked last year and a first rounder in this years draft- that's the deal I'd like.

There aren't that many options though- I guess we'd have to trade him west so he doesn't catch flu. Needs to be in a run and gun system, and will moan if not in a playoff team. So that leaves:

OKC- the most likely, I think
Spurs- no need for him
Rockets- nope, they have Dwight
Clips- nope, Jordan has really improved this season
Suns- maybe
Grizz- no need, Gasol
Twolves- no need, just spent money on the hulk
Dallas- don't think Cuban likes him after he left them, but they do actually need him.
Blazers- hmm, maybe but Lopez is doing okay for them
Warriors- no need unless they get rid of Bogut.

Is chandler even worth a first round pick?
