I was just thinking about how awesome it would be to deal Melo to the Bulls and then have him not re-sign with them in 2015 (assuming he opted into his contract and played it out like Chris Paul in 2013). We could walk away with Melo and some package including Carlos Boozer, Nikola Mirotic, Jimmy Butler and their two first round picks in 2014. Not only would we be fortifying our team but we would be weakening a fellow competitor/contender, which would be an amazing turn of events.
