i don't think alot of those guys on your list are realistic options because i don't see the Knicks as having what it would take to get them here via trades, & i highly doubt Rasheed will sign for a MLE when he can stay on a much better team in DET for more money...here's a more realistic list imho:

1 - Erick Dampier (sign & trade)
2 - Theo Ratliff (trade)
3 - Marcus Camby (sign & trade)
4 - Mark Blount (full MLE)
5 - Karl Malone (full MLE)
6 - Stromile Swift (full MLE)
7 - Mehmet Okur (full MLE)
8 - Antoine Walker (trade)
9 - Chris Anderson (portion of MLE)
10 - Dan Gadzuric (portion of MLE)

I want Lampe back.

He and Sweetney were my project rookies. Lampe's mobility, desire and character were interesting. His draft day story, lack of experience and youth were also factors. I wanted to root for this Polish kid. Sweets has the college story, but this kid has a spark. Just somthing in his personality I found worth rooting for.

Its nothing against Marbs, just somthing I was looking forward to.

I suspect Lampe wont be the last guy people like that gets traded. I liked him too and was excited about the prospect. I dont know if I really liked him that much or with Layden its all I had to root for.

I think we really see Isiah's direct come NEXT trade deadline. If he just trying to squeeze out more wins out of an OK team we are heading for trouble.

My biggest curiosity is to see what he does on draft day. He may not build through the draft but that doesnt mean its not a valueable tool for him either.

REALISTICALLY?

1) Stephen Jackson (full MLE)
2) Stromile Swift (trade Kurt and Frank)
3) or Tyson Chandler (trade Kurt and Frank)
4) or Drew Gooden (trade Kurt and Frank)
5) or Chris Wilcox (trade Frank
6) or Camby (not sure what it would take...maybe MLE)

I also really like the idea of getting Doleac back for the LLE.

I was really hoping also that Laydog was not that stupid! In the end, the dice thing was not tragic as we got Frank, Milos and Lampe.
Dice was for the now, those guys to build around in the future. Ok, lets not go there again..........

I would like Raheem. A 20-10 guy is not easy to find, and THe guy is a true professional and well rounded human being.

The Rashweed thing is funny. If he does well, his price goes up with both detroit and the market. If he sucks, and breaks down, do we really need that kind of player? Is he just behaving real nice becasue he is auditioning for his next contract? Or just a change of scenary??

In the draft, I'd like to move up to low first round because Isiah found a gem nobody yet discovered! I want impact players that we grow our own, not lust after other teams players with bull trade ideas.

Rahim went from being a 20-10 starter on a bad team in the East to the 3rd option off the bench on a team that just missed out on the playoffs in the Western Conference...i don't know that he's what the Knicks need at this point...he also plays hardly a lick of defense, which this team is severely lacking in right now.

realistically.........

#6) swift, only if he can play pf cause we dont need more 6'9" centres.

#8) okur, i guess. mostly becuse he is young and big.

#1-#4 no real chance of signing or trading for them.

and

i think i am going to start the "say NO to damp" movement. i used to think he would be good for this team, but the more you read about him the more you realize he is lazy except for the year before he signs a contract.

conversly

i am going to start the "sign dan gadzuric" movement.
