As soon as the season is over for the knicks I can see a quick scenario where our coaching situation gets resolved.

If Woody stays or another comes in, there will be classes held. "Triangle" School will occur becuase our players need to be assessed to who goes and who can be re-educated. Shump got taken off the trade block for a reason is one example.

The coach will use summer league as a tool for learning. With our D-league team, might as well just call them the "Triangles" becuase they will be running that their as well.

How long does this all take? Who knows. IM looking forward to the progress and moves we make and maybe in year three we can make some substantial headway.

Impatient starphuchers will be dissapointed. If Melo is not about that and has not the balls for it, then cut them loose.
No hate for him here, just if he is not bought into what the new plan is then its time to move on. We sucked up to CAA and empowered players (JR for example) for too long.

If PHil is to change the culture he needs players who want to play ball here not just because its NY, but the system of ball we will employ. If it does not suit their style or agenda, thats cool!

If Melo has an agenda that does not jive with ours, with love we'll wish him the best of luck. If he wants to evolve his game to win, and a reduction of stats, and pehaps a reduction of salary then its his choice. Personally I won't hate on him if he leaves. In fact, I 'd respect him. He came once and said he bought into MDA ball but was reluctant. He might have had some cause but the aftermath of woodyball has been very MElo-Centric. HE lead the league in scoring last year and basically we play to Melo's strength. Now its time to play for the system's "Stregnth"! We gave Melo what he wanted: Star billing on broadway. It sells tickets for sure but we just got a new gig in town. Please don't construe this as melo hate. I think Melo has done a great job as the leading man in his role. We are looking for leading men to fit within an ensomble cast. Some can do it better than others. Some have to give trust to it. Phil has earned the trust of others.
